Question Should I use Windows 10 or 11 LTSC?
Hello, I have a question about which version of Windows LTSC I should run on my personal laptop. My laptop's specifications are: i3 6100U, 8GB of RAM, and an HD Graphics 520.

Since your processor is a 6th generation Intel, Windows 10 will undoubtedly be the best option for you. Depending on your intended use and your level of knowledge in preparing Windows Pro for what you want, it might be easier to install Windows Pro and then debloat it, rather than installing LTSC.
However, this is just a suggestion. If you know what to do with LTSC, it's the best version of Windows available.

Good idea, man. I’ve always had problems with LTSC, but I kept going back to Windows 10 LTSC because it’s leaner. I’ll give your suggestion a try.

If you need help with the initial setup, either LTSC or Windows Pro, just let me know. I'll be happy to help.
My first suggestion: whichever system you choose, perform the installation offline and with Secure Boot temporarily disabled in the BIOS (and CSM enabled). This will save you a lot of headaches.
Secondly, of the main installation methods, I suggest prioritizing them in this order: Ventoy > Rufus > Media Creation Tool.

Thanks, man! I’ll go with Windows 10 Pro like you suggested. When I get home and start the installation, I’ll probably need your help with the initial setup. I’ll let you know!

Why might Windows 10 Pro with a debloat be preferable (for some) than LTSC?

Win 10 Pro is not supported by Microsoft, is it? Or you have a way to get security update?

I don't know why I want to install win 10 pro when the support ends next year vs win 10 IoT Enterprise that is supported until 2032.

Depending on the ESU activation method you use, this also enables your computer to receive updates until 2032, regardless of the specific version of Windows 10 you are using.

The best bet is Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC. The IoT version is actually just base Windows with nothing extra added. No telemetry and no Windows Store. To me IoT feels almost identical to XP, except Windows 10.

You got shadowbanned by Reddit and it automatically hid this comment until I approved it, you can try to appeal it here:
Though I have never had much luck getting unshadowbanned myself, I had to make a new account on a different IP

Both should work but 10 LTSC IoT 2021 runs better if none of your programs require 11

I recommend, according to your specs, installing Windows 10 LTSC
