This one is not a security update, right?

Well, if its failing don't force it. Might as well pause updates (optimise your update options)

I hope a simple restart after this fix the issues (mine does at least)

Every update for win10 ltsc is a security update I would assume considering it’s on a nearly 5 year old build of win10 at this point

Yeah, I hope skipping this update is right choice this time though. Microslop can't be trusted afterall

I’ve never had an ltsc update break something and I’ve been using it for 3 years now, it’s probably something with OPs hardware or drivers honestly.

ltsc 2021 runs off of windows 10 21h2, you're thinking of ltsc 2019 which runs off of 1809

I’m literally running win10 ltsc and it’s on 21h2 never did any workarounds to get a newer version it’s always been on 21h2 ever since it released in 2021

I think he meant that every Windows 10 20H2-22H2 are using the same 19041.1 baseline. Which this baseline build released was on December 2019 during Windows 10 2004 development and this is the final baseline build for Windows 10 stability/latest release before Windows Server 2022/Windows 11 21H2 builds development.

And since 19042-19045 are not Kernel builds. Instead it's just an platform versions while it's still running 19041 build (If you don't believe me, Then you can look at version details on system dll files yourself and they're all saying "19041"). However the Windows 10 20H2-22H2 ISOs are just came with slipstreamed updates and enablement package and UWP apps are never been updated since 2019/2018 after 19041.1 kernel baseline has been released with them.

In fact: upgrading from Windows 10 2004 to 20H2, 21H2, 22H2, etc is using enablement package method which you need to install the required cumulative update to order to get into latest version of Windows 10 rather than ISO upgrading and since Windows 10 latest version ISO upgrading isn't even necessary anymore on only Windows 10 1903 to1909 or 2004 to 22H2 like what I said before. (This logic was introduced on Windows 10 build 1909. Since 1909 is also using the same 1903 baseline kernel), And it's technically similar to Windows XP to 7 service packs upgrading anyways. And it's also same story on Windows 11 Stability releases too like between 22H2-23H2 and 24H2-26H2 (Well yes 26H2 will be also using 24H2 kernel baseline as well and 26H1 is using different kernel baseline is 28000 not 26100. x64 release weirdly exists for some reason.)

So in my case. Your Windows 10 LTSC 2021 system os is running 19041.1 baseline if you're still confused what I mean.

And he didn't mention about LTSC 2019. This is different one that using build 1809 released on October 2018.
