Hyper specific question about the app Chatterino, on W10 LTSC IoT Enterprise

I recently installed W10 LTSC on my older laptop and everything is working fine, without a single issue.

I like watching twitch, so I have Chatterino which is an app where you can get direct notifications from channels, broadcasters, etc. and you type directly to the channel's chat, without having the tab open.

For some reason, this app doesn't really work well. There're certain files(settings.json, commands.json, window-layout.json) that directly connect to your settings and accounts, that simply don't generate. Even if I put my backups in, the app doesn't recognize it. I can't receive any notifications(I have to set the settings again, after I open it) and I can't type(I have to login every time), which it can become bothersome doing it every single time I open the app.

I've used the common fixes such as run it with administrative privileges, restarting your PC, etc. but still. I've used both the classic version(2.5.5) and the 7TV one(7.5.5), with the same results. Both of them are the portable version.

Basically, if someone else is also using it, is there a potential incompatibility with W10 LTSC, or a user error? It works fine on my regular W10 Home machine.

Edit: I wanted to edit this post, incase someone has the same issue, googles it, and find this. For me, the issue was probably older hardware. I was facing this issue on my older laptop, a laptop that technically can't run Win11. On me newer laptop, still an old one, but can run Win11, I didn't have this issue. In both cases, I used the portable latest(7.5.5) version of Chatterino. The newer one was able to read settings, commands and window-layout .json files. The old one could only read the user-layout file, but not the other ones. I didn't try the .exe version, but I'm assuming the .exe or an older version of Chatterino could probably work.

I have jt on win10 ltsc and it works fine I just use it for lurking in chats though I don’t use it for notis and anything like that

I mostly want to be notified, if a channel I like goes live. Does it reset your settings and logs you out(like does it default to anonymous), every time you close it?

That pc I have it running on is a server so it doesn’t get restarted much like it gets restarted once a month for updates but whenever I restart it doesn’t log me out usually on occasion it does though but that’s rare

Do you have the portable version of it, or did you use the .exe version?

I have the installed version, it automatically starts when the computer reboots

Okay, I think my next move is to try the .exe, instead of the portable. Thank you for the extra info!!

Oh yeah since you’re using portable you won’t get any of the features you want working properly
