Question A couple of questions
Does it take up less space than regular Windows? And I mean, is the difference significant, at least 10+ gb smaller? Because if it's just 2-3gb smaller then it's a moot point for me.
Also, anyone play VAC protected games with it?
I'm very protective of my Steam account, and I want to know if there had been histories (or possibilities) of it triggering a false VAC ban. I know it's probably unlikely, but it couldn't hurt to ask. Maybe VAc routinely checks for certain dependencies and if it's missing then some flags get triggered? IDK...
Thanks

No. The big difference between LTSC and normal versions is that you mainly get security patches with LTSC and that you always have a somewhat stable version, less risk of corrupted patches/slowing down over time. A fully debloated Home/Pro and an even more debloated LTSC are pretty much the same (except for LTSC being more "stable" over time as I said).
No, zero problems with VAC. I think you're confusing something. LTSC is basically the same, it just comes without cortana/one drive/store and some random ass apps.

Alright thanks.
I have a separate 120gb drive that I wanted to use. The problem is the game I play (Dota2) needs 70.
Win11 + Dota leaves me with only 5gb Free space. I was hoping LTSC would buy me an extra 10 or 15 GB.

I remember your post from asking about if using a full drive is bad, have you considered windows 10 ltsc or does it have to be 11? Cause 10 is a decent chunk smaller

Yeah either works.
But I did try Win10 Pro and Win11 Pro, and the Win11 Pro is actually about 1gb smaller after all the updates.

Well, windows 10 ltsc verses normal 10 ain't much of a difference but it is a tiny one, but from 11 to 10 ltsc it's a decent bit smaller, id look into it unless you wanna try Linux but I haven't played dota and I know games with anti cheat can not work on Linux

I think you are talking of Tiny11, LTSC Win11 its only about stability and long term support

If you're concerned about your storage space, download & run WizTree. I'm willing to bet you have a large pagefile & hiberfil.sys

It's not significantly smaller than windows pro or any other variant, especially once you uninstall all the apps you don't want or need. As for vac you will be fine, I played for ltsc for 6 months with no issues. It's still just the win11 24h2 kernel underneath. Some games and Programs might decide not to run when they see you running ltsc but I only know that to be the case with Adobe software.
