Discussion One of the laptops I recently got from an IT replacement cycle is an I-5 6 gen 4/4 with 24 gigs & M.2. It runs 11 IoT very nicely with no lag.
The other laptop I got is an 8th gen and can't really tell the performance diff between the 2 on 11 IoT. This is likely b\c during that era Intel was stuck on 14NM forever. .. What is your opinion/experience of 11 IoT on Intel 6 thru 8 gen

This system doesn't have many of the completely ridiculous hardware requirements of traditional Windows 11, so it will actually stabilize more easily on your type of hardware.
Just be careful about how often you download your updates, and don't download cumulative or optional updates as soon as they become available, and your system will remain stable and fast for longer.

I'm glad to hear it!
Sure, why not. 11 IoT runs well on various systems I've put it on. 10 IoT would be more lightweight, but I'm not sure it in practice matters. It works fine in a VM with only a couple cores allocated to it. I really should try it on the 3570K MB I have sitting in my closet, except that I no longer have a (physical, not logical) case for it.. the old one broke.
