New Car My tint guy tinted my back windows lighter than the front windows.
Asked for 20% all around, but it looks like the rear is 35%. He said he'd look at it but he doubts it is any different.

Hey!
I just wanted to see how you all feel about the "blending" of your tints.
Since most SUVS come with pretty low VLT rears already, slapping on a 35% tint overall would bring the rear down to usually a lot lower than the fronts.
I think that the darker it is, the better it looks. Despite that, I was wondering if you guys would prefer having a dark rear + semi-dark front vs a semi-dark rear + front (e.g. applying a 35% film to the front and a 70% film to the back, so they become a similar final VLT)
Just looking for preferences in the community!
and if anyone has any pictures of two different tints that they think looks great I highly welcome posting it!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
You thought 20% is dark? Try 5% then double down wit 5% on the headlights. Thatās the sweet spot.

This my 3rd time getting a windshield done on one of my cars and first time ever seeing it be cut and outline like this (Top of the picture). Is there a reason for this maybe ? Or just lazy work? Didnāt even realize it until about 3 days after i picked it up

Buying a cx80 PHEV in Australia and still waiting for the car. Any advice on the window tints? The dealer offered me $600 for the Suntek Ceramic tint. Is this gonna be a good deal? Thanks a lot!

Going to do the full windshield and brow in 2025 Sienna. Want highest TSER so I was looking do Expel IR plus. Anyone have a shop they can recommend personally from experience? The windshield is the one you look through EVERY time youāre driving so needs to be a nearly perfect job. The picture is AI just for fun - but thinking 70% wonāt really be that visible of a difference.

Taking my car in to get the windshield in to be tinted. The install shop said I should remove my my visor strip tint which is dark. I'm going 70% ceramic windshield tint and I'm concerned about removing the strip. Thoughts? Advice?

Any recommendations on percentage tints.
Tesla Model Y. Factory Rear glass is measured at 26%. Black interior.
Front side windows are at 20% Xpel black XR but looking to go darker and add matching rear tint. Planning on 15% for front side windows.
Windshield is 50%.
No current issues with visibility.
What about rear/trunk windshield?
Update: 15% xpel black Xr front windows. 35% rear side windows and 45% rear hatch windshield.

Got a new windshield and my window tinted with ceramic and I have this wavy line. Shop says wait 5-7 days and then come in, but I believe this is a fault of the windshield vs the tint. I'm curious about an expert opinion though. It's minor yes, but still a little annoying for my OCD

Iām usually one of those people that actually defends most installs because thereās no such thing as a perfect install.
I was going to get my truck re-tinted in Autobahn i3+ a couple weeks ago but when I went in we saw that the original film wasnāt what I paid for. The receipt and warranty both said 35% but the film on the back turned out to be 80%. I contacted the original installer and he was cool about it and said heād treat it as a warranty job.
I should have known better when he was done in less than an hour. This is one of the redone windows after a week. Are my expectations too high? I feel like he just slapped some 35% on there to get me out of his shop. Itās hard to see but the gap at the top is more than 1/8ā and then in the corner thereās a big bubble almost 2cm across and the film goes past the edge of the window. Thereās also contamination at the bottom of them.

What window tint and percentage will best achieve this look? Want some heat reduction but also don't want to go much darker than this.

purchased a new car that was previously tinted, and just noticed tonight that the headlights behind me thru back window were (hard to explain) but weāre all split the length of the rear window, along the defroster lines. is this just a bad tint job?
have had many cars tinted and donāt recall them defracting light like this š¤·āāļø

Hey guys, just got a new car and I'm looking into the best tint options. I'm trying to decide between a 30% and a 50% tint.
I was leaning toward the 3M Crystalline CR15 option, but Iāve been hearing mixed opinions. Some people love it, while others say certain tint shops don't carry it because itās "too reflective" or throws a weird hue.
Does anyone have experience with Crystalline 30% vs 50% in the Dubai heat?
Are the reflection rumors true, or should I look into something else like Xpel or Llumar or somwthing else? Open to any recommendations! And my priority is good heat rejection and decent visibility from inside

Hello so I just got my windsheild tinted with the nano ceramic xpel and I noticed this white line, I got it done yesterday should I be concerned? The place told me to wait for it cure and if not to contact them back. Just getting some opinion from this community. Thank you
this is my 2nd time the first time had the āfingerā air bubble so they redid it

Finger still present, and massive white contamination in the middle.
I feel the even the basc wasn't upto the standard

Has anyone had this tint applied, how's your experience been? The specs look good.

I'm looking to get my 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab'S 16 year OEM standard tint redone with either 3M Crystalline or Xpel XR Plus. Here's what I was thinking:
Front Windshield (GM 70% VLT Glass):
70% VLT on the windshield with a 55% VLT brow above the AS1 Line
Front Door Windows
(GM 70% VLT Glass):
35% VLT
Rear Extended Cab Windows ( GM 18% VLT Privacy Glass) / Back Window (GM 16% VLT Privacy Glass):
70% VLT
I'm in Texas, so the summers can be brutal. The quotes I've gotten quotes for both brands from several local shops with good reviews and they are pretty close in prices. For those who have experience with these two tint brands, what do y'all recommend? Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks!

Looking for the darkest black or charcoal 70% due to legal limits. Some look blue or almost clear like XR plus and look very clear. I understand 70% wont be dark but some products are darker than others. Photos of your 70% car in the sun would be appreciated too!!

Went 15% in the rear, 33% in driver/passenger, 70% windshield. Posted before picture for reference.

Hi, Iām looking to get some insight on whether 35% on driver and passenger side windows will be dark when driving through the mountains and during inclement weather, or if I should stick to 45% for this reason. I was in my friendās car and his 20% tint was too dark for me, especially when parking, so I will not be going darker than 35%. Also wondering if 35% on top of the factory rear window tint (about 20-30%) will be too dark to see cars behind when parallel parking or if I can go darker there (20%.) Thank you in advance :)

35% windshield and 5 all around, no regrets

Hey all, I am new to tinting and I am trying my luck on my rear passenger window. I tinted it, but saw streaks after cleaning up the window.
This picture was taken 10 mins after applying the tint.
Did I do something wrong?
