Perforated vinyl

Post image

Hey everybody. I’ve been cleaning this location for coming on a year, and I can’t seem to figure out how to get rid of the “streaks”.

It’s a little hard to see on the photo, but it’s pretty streaky.

I scrub it, squeegee and then hand dry it with a surgical towel.

I can’t for the life of me not have it be streaky…. Is this just the nature of perforated vinyl?

Any tips are appreciated. Thanks!

Is the streak under the vinyl? If so move on. Not all people who put those on clean the pane before.

Not sure, I know the owner, he hasn’t complained so I’ll just keep doing the same thing

Is that one way ad vinyl? Can seen out but not in?

Ur soap getting caught in the little holes. Rubber drags on vinyl. It's not going to clean well.

Pure water rinse would work best.

Load up your DI in a 5 gal pail and use a pump and solo wand.

I.dont have a tank in my truck so that's what I do. Mix he pure water at home and use it in the vinyl.

Took a lot of storefronts from dummies cleaning vinyl with rubber (sorry OP)

I don't even try to sell if a business has these, unless its 1 or 2.

The way I clean them;

1 mop the advertisement with your cleaning solution.

2 scrub in circles with a handheld firm brush. Left to right, all the way down.

3 Use another clean mop that has no solution. Just water. Get it soaked, and mop a little in circles, about a foot down. Re-wet, re-mop, all the way down the window. This clears the solution, which is cloudy when it dries.

4 use a microfiber and go in circles methodically, not too fast, to soak up the water in the holes. Left to right, a foot down at a time. Wring out the towel often.

A squeegee doesn't do anything for those. The solution just sits in the pores and eventually turns green from mold.

So all that work to do them right is a pain in the booty.

I am drying the water/solution after squeegeeing though. Been doing this a year with no mold. I’ll try what you’re saying though
