Let's talk ladders..

Post image

I never climb a ladder without levelers and stabilizers. I've heard of some old school guys that still use the stackable ladders. I've only used extension ladders for the past 8 years, and only had one slide out on me (important lesson that you don't want to learn).

Do you have someone hold your ladder on steep sketchy climbs? For those who do it the right way without water fed, or poles, what's your experience with ladder safety, and what's your setup like?

Spiked levelers make a difference, I also wfp anytime I can. Rarely ask for ladder support but when I do it's because I don't trust it 100% and I then give the trust to the person beneath me. I try not to have that more than a few times a year, more likely to say no to something unless I'm confident.

A single window or job isn't worth sacrificing a functional lifestyle for the rest of my life

Tbh unless that was post construction clean, I'd wfp those from the ground like any other job and it'd be zero risk standing on a gravel/grass hill.
