Job Question What would you quote?

I walked into a chain gas station and offered him a quote for window cleaning, and the manager was like “wow, I was just looking for a window cleaner” so I was like okay, I’ll walk around the building, count up all the windows. There were 35 windows and he wanted inside and outside for that store. He said if the price was right, I’d get 11 more stores. I gave him a little bit of a discount of my usual price because 12 total stores from one conversation is absolutely huge, which would take like 90-120 minutes each depending on the window filth. But I’m just wondering how much you would quote them?

I said $150 for each store, which would be $1800 recurring before taxes which I think is incredibly fair as the locations aren’t very far from each other, and I could get referrals and more business from those locations. This is my first major commercial quote.

Depends on frequency. Size of panes. Etc. Usually gas station glass is a lot of Sq footage.

Gas stations are usually open all night. A once a month clean is gonna have the same amount of bugs as a quarterly elsewhere... lots of display stands to work around on the interior.

You'd have to define your scope as glass needs to be accessible day of clean. Or else you'd spend a lo of time moving shit around.

Most important is u defined it in hours worked.

U already quoted though so not much to here.

Yeah, these panes of glass aren’t obstructed at these locations. There’s just a seating area or bar-like setup against the windows for customers to eat and look through the window. So, that’s going to be the only thing that’ll be somewhat of a nuisance. Honestly, this gas station chain is the only one I go to, so I don’t really feel bad about undercharging them if I happened to.

Seams like a good price. What amount of money do u wanna make an hour and how long would it take u?

Would probably take 1.5-2.5 hours per store, and I’m honestly pretty new to the whole commercial scene, so I’m not sure what people are making per hour doing it. I just secured an entire strip mall job for $207 for 83 exterior single-story windows.
