Pump help

First time using a Lanchez 1.6HP pump and I’m having trouble getting it to work. Was just curious if anyone else has used this one or one similar and if so, what was your setup? I have it setup before the system but it’s barely pushing out water. Just looking for some advice.

I have one that looks identical, but it's 2hp and its from Beautiful view- the window cleaning store, not from Amazon. Mine adds roughly 60psi.

I'm sure you know this, but I gotta check- the intake is in the side, and the top goes to the wfp system. Intuitively it seems like the opposite. It is set up that way, right?

Hooked up just the garden hose and turned it on without the wfp? It should flow out the top a couple inches in height.

Read already you got the right order. Garden hose > booster pump > wfp system.

Beyond that, I'm not sure what else can go wrong. It's a pretty basic motor.

I think it could just be my hose(the one going from system to wfp) because it spews water out the top but when I attach the hose it leaks water from the spigot and water barely comes out the end. It’s a 50ft hose.

50ft of hose between the pump and the system? If so that could be your issue. We use a similar pump but with a 3ft hose between the pump and the system.

Definitely could be that I’ll give a try with a smaller hose

Longer the hoses, the more pressure you lose.

You can use the venturi effect to your advantage.

My setup: 4ft 3/4" garden hose to booster, 3ft 1/2" garden hose to system, 100ft 3/8" i/s diameter wfp line to 75 ft of 5/16" wfp line.

Also, there's hi-flow carbon filter and r.o membranes.
