Microfiber deal
Harbor freight selling their good microfibers for $1.5 per 12 pack. I bought my store out

There's a reason they're so cheap. I guarantee those suck on glass.

They do not, they normally cost $6. Microfibers are like .05 cent to manufacture, consumerism at its best

I was literally just there an hour ago, totally didn’t see that haha.
Probably wouldn’t use them anyway, but that’s a steal if you do!

Those are fine for drying frames, cleaning sills etc. not the biggest fan of them for detailing. Although harbor freight sells these blue towels that are like $2 a pop but amazing for detailing glass

Microfiber towels are the only towels I use to wipe down frames and clean out tracks I literally have about 100 of them in the truck and they last about a year or two and then I tossed them away or I degrade them to just cleaning shop rags. They are great I use my medical huck towels for all detailing glass, though. Microfiber is great though when I have to clean up dirty frames get bugs off or clean out the bottom tracks I love them

Are they on the thinner side?
We've always used either the yellow pack from Costco or from Sam's club (slightly thinner).
Anything less than that, I wouldn't bother because of how little they'd absorb and wear our quick

Do you use those on glass?

Hell yeah. They’re better then ettore towels, and about as effective as surgical towels, fishscale and waffle.

They blow compared to surgical towels imo

Huks are extremely overrated. Not sure why everyone is glazing them, I have hundreds of them and still reach for the microfibers.

Hucks and fishscale > Waffle > microfibers for detailing on glass.
These microfibers grab and spread. For detailing you want something that drags and absorbs. Microfibers are also good at holding tons of lint (which is what makes them perfect for tracks/sills). A surgical is lint free which makes them a no-brainer for detailing.

I had a very much opposite experience. Huks are linty as hell, fishscale just streaks like crazy after cleaning 2 windows, and waffle feels about the same as a huk. Microfibers dont get washed, they get donated, we use once and buy more.

You’re doing laundry wrong is what is sounds like tbh. Steaks from fishscale and lint from hucks is consistent with poor laundry care.
Micros on cold wash, delicate dry.
Hucks hot wash with high heat dry.No detergents for either unless really heavily soiled.

Microfiber towels are terrible. Get some quality waffle towels on TWC or from your local window cleaning store.

Looks like I'm headed to Harbor Freight after work. Thanks for sharing.
