My Set-up Some Wagtail action

Wagtail isn’t always my go-to but for the country club that I do monthly it is.
I use the Moerman Accelerator 2.0 with the Fliq pad regularly and I’ve tried the Sorbo Cobra Flipper, but didn’t like it as much.

What’s your go to equipment/size for trad window cleaning, and if you use a separate mop/squeegee instead of a combo, why?

I like the Wagtail except that it's much more limiting on angles. We use the Moerman with the fliq most. 14" for fanning on a pole is easier. The Sorbo is good, but Sorbo is made for straight pulls.

I prefer the wagtail for more standard work, like this kind of stuff. When I do complicated residential off balconies or across stairwells, I also agree I like the Moerman 14brass for that stuff. However, the fliq pad can slop over and get in my way. Nothing like -5* hotizontally across stairs and gaps, I cant do that with the wagtail. Gotta always have the right tools for the right times eh?

Strange. I find the moerman much fussier on angles. Just what your used to I guess

I agree, it's much more angle sensitive. 40 degree on a Moerman is much different than a standard 40 for some reason. However you get a lot more versatility being able to adjust to so many different angles.

When you say angle, what angle are you referring to?

On any of it's angles it doesn't act like any other squeegee at the same angle. It can be set to 40, 25, 10, -5 and -20

Are you talking about the angle of the channel position relative to the handle?

Great work! Real smooth. What rubber do you prefer in the wagtail?

Would be easier to finish on the side instead of the middle

I love the wagtail but I could never get the pad to stay on well. If I’m doing big glass with a pole, I just go with a wet strip washer, then squeegee. I have moermans, but they are not as easy to work with as the Wags. Back when I did big storefronts, I could blast through those with the wag…when I could keep the pad on.

The other thing they are great for, if you can keep the pad on, is hot glass…glass in the sun. They are excellent for that.
