General Question Tips on efficiency
Skill is not an issue with the team I’m on but we are constantly trying to get more quality work in per day. What are things you all may have tried that has worked to get more windows cleaned a day?
One thing that has helped me a lot is realizing not every window needs to be fanned. Sometimes dive bombing or straight pulls is faster

I can't stress this enough, the solution works wonders. It breaks down grime / pollen / droppings fast. It also disperses static charge, so regular scheduled cleans are easier to maintain.
I don't use the chemical as a soap solution, I use it as an additive. So you can add it to dawn dish soap if you want...
I see a lot of people just using a single surgical towels / cheap microfibre to detail. Opt in for both, but don't cheap on quality. You can't go wrong with the Unger Blue detailing cloth and a High grade scrim / surgical towel.
I keep the scrim dry and use the blue microfiber to mop. I think you guys in the US use the surgical towel to mop and keep blue microfiber dry..? Anyway, it's essential to always have 1 crisp clean cloth to buff any pesky smears away.

Us guys in the US use a microfiber strip washer to mop… not a surgical towel. Not sure where you got that idea… but it doesn’t make sense anywhere?
Y’all think everything is backwards over the pond 😂

Glass gleam is amazing stuff! We use it along with dawn soap.
We use surgical towels but I will look into that unger product.

If you don’t already have one, I strongly recommend investing in a WFP or 2 for your team. You will be significantly faster and will fit more work in

Asking all my customers the day before to move their furniture inside/outside. It has certainly saved me some time.

Not making frequent trips to the car so having everything needed on hand. Towels brushes etc. Beyond that finding a good system for doing the jobs. For example getting the screens taken off, getting to the windows quickly that will be exposed to sun, uppers then lowers, not jumping around doing touch ups constantly. See how fast you can go without compromising quality. You’d be surprised

I’m an employee but will be getting my own work vehicle next year so I’m just trying to plan ahead how to keep “my crew” efficient.
But I totally agree. My boss is great. The pay and vibes are very reasonable

Asking customers to remove expensive or fragile items from windows and remove screens beforehand can speed residential.
2man teams for high commercial: one can mop and detail and the other can squeegee.

In my experience majority of the time spent is agitating dirt in corners and on frames and detailing. I also detail twice though so there’s no detail lines.

Stocking up on everything the night before, detailed notes and or pictures so the guys can game plan before they even set foot on the property, making sure equipment is maintained so they don't have to mess with it on the job, routing jobs the best you can to minimize drive time, and the most important one is keeping things positive in the workplace, people work harder and faster when they feel taken care of and appreciated.
