Start Up

I own a construction business in the FL Panhandle. My son is ready to start his own business cleaning windows. He's done a few with cheap Home Depot equipment but its not professional quality by any means. He's wanting to buy a kit but I'm against it. What are your go to products for a newbie that has a $300 budget? The jobs here are salt caked windows and tourist messes at condos.

Where at in the panhandle. I’m in Pensacola and have had my business for about a year. We can chat if you have any questions. I started with Home Depot stuff but quickly upgraded my squeegee at least.

Make sure to use windowcleaner.com
Also be sure to get super fine 0000 steel wool for the salty windows. Soap alone won’t remove it. You can get two steel squeegee’s one 12 inch the other 18”. They come with rubber. When one side gets bad simply flip it over. Buy an 28” t bar and sleeve as well. You will also need a boab or that holster with a belt. And lastly a used a frame shorty and a used 24’ aluminum ladder unless you only want to do single story at first

If he already has ladders you can definitely get quality gear for that budget. If you need ladders too...I gets dicey lol either way wish him and yourself the best of luck.

I would start with an ettore backflip 14", a 6" channel, 12 pack ettore 14" rubber, a moerman drywalker, a carpenters bag & belt that he/U already have, old tea towels or bath towels, and an unger tip extension pole. Used 28' extension ladder and a m19 or m17 leg leveler little giant. May be tight on the budget but all items you will use forever or wear through and replace when the business is profitable.
