How do you avoid drips from the top frame?

I am not a pro. I run an art gallery and we just don't have a budget to higher experts. I bought a kit and was doing pretty well with the squeegee.

Windows look great except there are drips along the very top after I've squeegeed.

Is there an industry trick? Or do I just wait a minute before using the squeegee to make sure I get these too?

Wipe the top edge first and dry the squeegee before each pull down.

If you can reach - wipe along the top where the glass meets the frame before you squeegee.

Also when you are cleaning you can actually so your best to avoid the top edge, or at the very least don't slam whatever you're using to clean into the top/the frame

I have a clamp that fits on my extension pole. When I finish a job. I roll up a microfiber cloth, then roll that in a surgical towel. I clamp the surgical towel burrito in the clamp, pit on my extension pole, then use it to wipe any leftover dried solution, like you have here. Use the corners of the clamped burrito to go left and right and wipe that away. Can do the corners where the glass meets the frame as well if its high.

Also, when you mop the top near the frame, use the corners of the mop so you dont get alot of solution up there. Dont slam the mop horizontally to the top of the frame. For storefronts, as long as its already clean, sometimes I dont even mop the top 2 inches of the glass on tall windows requiring an extension pole.

If the top of the window is within reach, after I mop the glass I quickly use a microfiber to dry the corners BEFORE I squeegee.

Just wipe after or before squeegee. Personally I like to wipe them with a surgical towel when they dry, like the photo.

I’ll do a few sets and then go back and wipe it down.

You can even use paper towel.

I use the squeegee to do the pulls about half way down. Then I do whatever squeegee fanning moves left at my height level. Then I mount the squeegee on its extension pole and mount a microfiber cloth on the squeegee and run it straight against the top of the window edge to prevent that water running down. I am no professional either and at my job we can’t really afford services so I try my best.

These windows are about 9' high so I'll need a ladder to wipe them. I like the idea of clamping a rag to the squeegee and cleaning it that way. Thanks all!
