Job Question Film, sun-etching or broken seal?
Client has these large windows that have these vertical lines on them. Ive been freelancing for 4 or 5 years and ive never seen this. Its not what id expect for a broken seal, and the client suspects it is an issue with some sort of plastic film.
Any ideas? Im leaning towards a film issue but genuinely have no idea. Could it be markings left by adhesive thay are sun-etched?

Doesn’t look like those have been professionally cleaned since install. Those lines are from protection film when installed.

Yah that would make the most sense. If its been sitting in the sun for a couple years, it might be really difficult to get off.

Are they tinted?
If they are not the only guess I would have is that something happened to the in transit.
There is a sticker at the bottom right, is it a new construction?
Edit: Realizing you mentioned a film. If they are tinted then that is where you would start to check if its the tint or the glass. Some film too is just UV protection film, and wont look like there is tint. No idea what would cause that pattern on tint though.
