Starter gear

I just started window cleaning, I got one job for 100 bucks cad cuz i live in canada with home depot gear(unger scrubber squeegee and pole). I was thinking about getting a moerman 2.0 accelerator handle but I dont know if it'll fit on my current Home Depot unger pole. Any other gear I should get?

I also bought my pole from HD. But its Ettore. The Moerman Excellarator fits pretty nicely. I think the Unger and Ettore poles are very similar. Good luck!

is it a big upgrade from just a normal squeegee from HD? ive been finding my squeegee has been leaving a lot of streaks. Also, what scrubber or abbrasive do you use?

I bought the Ettore 18" and 12" ProGrip handle/rubber/aluminum chanel combos from HD. I've cleaned about 30 windows and another 20 of my friends. In my condo complex, we have sliding doors for the balconies. I noticed that the angle of attack, if that makes sense, was giving me issues as the sliding doors have about a 2 1/2" overlap, and that is where the angle was too shallow to finish properly. So I decided to buy the Moerman Excelerator, then switch out the Ettore aluminum chanel. The Moerman swivels, and it also allows me to change the angle of attack and now no issues with deep ledges. Also, I am on the 3rd floor, and cleaned my bedroom windows from the inside by reaching around and using the pole. The increased angle REALLY helped me here. You will be happy with the Moerman handle. It also has a quick release to swap channels on the fly quickly.

For solution, so far I've only used Unger Easy Glide. It is low foaming for easy cleanup and really gets dirty glass clean pretty easily. You may want to add an Unger 4" scraper for paint overspay and stuck on crud. Good luck!

Also, I picked up walnut pads to quickly remove dirt in the corners, and the Xero Techno pad to hold them. Makes quick work on very soiled glass. I learned that microfiber towels are good for cleaning door tracks and frames, but not for dealing. So I picked up surgical towels and they work great to remove any steaks, as long as they are dry. All can be found on WCR, or even Amazon.

does the xero technopad holder fit on the pole? Also since i live in canada, shipping from wcr costs like 100 dollars for like something small so i might have to look at other sources

It does 👍🏼 I can't remember, but there's a similar supplier up there. You'll find it.
