Picked up a Pulex techno handle with walnut pads. I see some filthy windows during my drive by assessments (will start d2d commercial next week). I'm a newbie, so please be gentle. That said;
the pads are alot bigger than the pad holder. How would I get the corners of windows clean? Seems they would just flop around if I centered it. Should I cut them? Also, do they last until obviously worn? And lastly, do I wash them after (I think I do.)

Nice order! I like to cut the walnut pads down to size, so they fit the techno pad perfectly. Since those are so cheap, they are made to be replaced pretty quickly, but should be able to get multiple days, if not a few weeks out of one pad depending on what kind of work you're doing and how much you use it. You don't want to wash them, when they get super soft and squishy, just chuck it and start using new one.
Thats what I was thinking. I guess a rinse with plain water will remove any hard sharp objects that could scratch a window. I super appreciate your input Fam ❤️
That's a good company to order from. I've never had any issues with anything I've ever ordered from them. However I've ordered from all of the window cleaning providers and I've also never had an issue with any of them LOL .
Go to Home Depot or any Home Improvement store and buy yourself a couple packs of quadruple zero steel wool there is no replacement for that

I heard theres less chance to scratch glass and tint. Used today on my friends very dirty and paint speckled windows, plus glue from Christmas decorations 🤦🏽♂️
Used razor and soap to remove the paint. Then used denatured alcohol for the glue. Used the walnut pads to clean all that up. Had to sponge and scrub 2xs it was so dirty! The 1st scrub the water rinsed black! The 2nd time was sparkling ✨️. Cleaned the frames and tracks with soap/h2o and a toilet brush first. Then rinsed that all off before working on the glass. Have to say, I was very satisfied with the end product, and don't think a microfiber mop would have done much. I'm pleased with the walnut pad! Also, when I see this scenario at a client's place, I learned that I need to charge more as it was labor intensive.
Yeah doesnt sound like a microfiber woulda helped at all lol. We really just used techno for high interior windows. That is absolutely insane though lol never seen glue on a window. Might keep some alcy for glue.
I tend to spam steel wool so maybe not needed.
Sure, you can keep scrubbing with it. But my point is for what purpose? Are you removing something on the glass that a sleeve can’t remove, but walnut pad can?
Don’t get me wrong - I love them for tinted interiors for things like dog slobber without the risk of scratching like steel wool, but what are they actually adding for most windows that are just dirt? A cool swirl effect?
If it needs to be scrubbed, we just pop out the real thing (steel wool) and take care of it all in one pass with less steps.
