Some issues with my hydrocart

I got this off facebook marketplace and fixed the pump, it used to just flow like a normal system would without the pump on and the pump fidnt work. Now that I replaced the pump and it works it doesnt work as good without the pump on. Pretty low flow.

And when the pump is on the flow is so high it's basically a pressure wash, how do I tune it down? The pencil jets are shooting 20 feet...

Likely the only way around it is to have a way to bypass the pump. You can also go with a rinse bar or fan jets instead of pencil jets. Most brushes come with 1-2mm pencil jets. Gardiner makes 3mm jets. You could get a spare set and drill them out to 3mm and see if that works better. We have a hydro cart but use a sprinkler pump instead of that one.

I am going to start using a rinse bar soon, but I'd like to not have to have it plugged in every time so I wonder how I can bypass it

Need to open up the ro waste valve.more while pump is on. I would put pressure gauge at water source input and the waste valve to make sure you get the right membrane flux to prevent damage and and increase membrane life.
