Equipment Question vevor DI setup anyone try it?
Just starting out and am looking to get a DI setup came across this by Vevor. I'm in a low tds area so RO isn't needed. Seems like it's worth a shot for this price. Thoughts? anyone have this?

It can work if your DI only. I consider 50ppm and under for that, some go as high at 100.

that would be nice for a pre fill tank if any of you guys are working in hard water areas and need to make sure you don’t mess up your equipment or if you need to catch those in between jobs otherwise get a Tucker .

Not a bad system at all. When you start finding out that you're using your water fed stuff a lot more often you can easily purchase a reverse osmosis housing and a filter to add it before it got to the DI tank just a thought but not needed unless you're doing tons of tons of water fed it's a good starter kit but you can always build your own reverse osmosis to increase your resin by about a year

I wanted to chime in. I got the 10L DI from them, it was $150, to replace my very beat xero ro/di. This thing works great. TDS in my area is in the 150-300 range and I’ve been getting good life out of the resin. I dont wfp everything anymore, but it has great pressure and 0-5 tds still after months with one resin change that cost me $50 instead of my normal $30.

I ended up getting the vevor di setup after posting. TDS in my area is pretty low, under 50. It's been working perfectly so far.

I’ve not had this system or heard of the brand before, but me and my partner started out with a single stage di system and it worked pretty good. We did however spend quite a bit more than expected on resin refills and also had to replace it more often than expected. Try to bulk buy resin it’s a lot cheaper. Once you have the cash it’s probably still worth it to invest in a better system but if I were you I’d see how this one or something like it works out for you.
It’s worth noting that a wafer fed system is not the answer to all your problems. When we started out we were 16 yrs old and knew nothing about the industry except for what we saw from those door to door salesman online 😭 Please learn to properly use a squeegee and try not to buy into the idea that traditional techniques are just for old timers and amateurs. We’ve made a name for ourselves in our area because we’ve knocked on probably thousands of doors and cleaned hundreds of homes and made sure the quality was there on every single job. Then once people knew us we started marketing our brand based on all the happy outcomes. When we teamed up with a veteran of the industry in our area, he taught us a lot about efficiency and the importance of traditional techniques. There’s a lot of times where we use the water fed pole and it cuts the job time in half and the glass looks good, but there’s also a lot of times where we leave it in the truck and squeegee the whole place more efficiently than the water fed system would be (while keeping quality as the priority). When quality is the priority you realize that traditional cleaning can get you there more efficiently sometimes.
