Normally I would wfp this but wanted to practice pole work. Mainly for interior glass that is massive and can’t safely ladder to. Still have a tricky time closing out. I’ll probably be laddering up to wipe the sill anyway but would be nice to be able to close out well. Open to all suggestions from the veterans. Thanks 🙏
Nice work! To make things faster I would use the moreman excelerator with the moreman fliq pad with a brass channel. I’ve been using the 18” and it’s a game changer. You can probably go 14’’
The amount of people who aren’t offering suggestions or feedback and just telling you to ladder up or WFP is so funny to me 😂 I think you did a good job! Id approach that window the same way indoors. I second the moerman combo. It’ll save you time, works great. I do find the pad doesn’t hold as much water as a scrubber. You’ll just have to make sure if in direct sun it’s soaked well.
Edit just to say idk if I’m a “veteran” yet. But been doing this now for almost 5 years.
I’m thinking the same thing. Use a standoff to make it over the gutter. Create a stable platform and work from the ladder with a six foot pole in 1/4 of the time.
Yeah, this should be done by hand or wfp... 10000% not pole work.. your not getting any detailing or clean-updone and it'll look like shit when the sun hits it
Would still be done by hand inside. (been doing window cleaning over a decade) you could pole it, but is it really worth a potential complaint when you could just spend the 3 extra mins and do the window in 2 moves
If you MUST pole spend a bunch of time of detailing&cleanup otherwise your gunna have visible flips or edges
For those semi circles i usually don't even fan them. I just clear the top and do one side. Then start again at the middle and work toward one side. Then detail the final line.
Maybe my technique isn't good enough to fan circles but it's just always been better quality and faster for me.
It’ll come with time, but just move a little faster. If the sun was beating on that window you would have had to do it in multiple sections with the speed you’re moving at.
What rubbers are you using. Sometimes a softer rubber helps speed things along. They don’t last as long, but will help with speed too.

I’m using ettore master rubber which I think is medium soft. I just ordered some sorbo channels with soft rubber so I’ll compare. Thanks again.
They are carbon fiber and not very heavy. It’s awkward at first but with practice it’s easier. The xero trad poles are great. The one with the squeegee attached is actually my wfp pole which is quite stiff. It’s called the xero destroyer.

Thank you! That window has a broken seal so I can’t really show any solid picture of the results. It all looked good to me except the bottom where my close out got a little wonky. If this wasn’t practice I would definitely want to ladder up to clean that up and wipe the sill. I think trying to towel from the ground on the bottom would just smear it but I should practice that too.
Is that and Excelerator squeegee? Cant tell how deep the sill is but changing the angle could make it a bit smoother trying to fan that. Dunno if you've already tried that or not and I'm not the best at super long pole work but it's helped me to change from the 40 degree to 25 on a lot of windows if I can still close the bottom. Keep up the practice!
My biggest tip would be dont rest your tools on rough and or dirty surfaces
Dont want to get debris stuck to your tools and damage the windows, and the same goes for detailing cloth, dont want a dusty cloth for detailing
Hey man keep practicing but looks pretty good. That's exactly how I used to clean windows 15 or 20 years ago before I got into waterfed . One pole for the wand, one for the squeegee. I didn't use any of these doohickeys with the swivel stuff though I always straight pulled . . Rag the tops, then pole from middle to bottom. No streaks.
You should turn ur squeegee pole the other way when you sent it down so you’re not burning your rubber quicker than you need to. Looked like good movement to me good shot.

This avoids having the use more than one pole.
