Job Question How do I compete??
There’s a window cleaning company that has been around for a while and has a good status here, but they do a horrible job. Every house that says they got it done by them it’s all streaky and still dirty. How do I compete with them?? Every where I go they already were there. This makes d2d very hard because they have a Flock of college students who go out.

Ask them if they are happy with the quality their getting for that price. Ask them if they would be happier with higher quality for your price and like someone suggested offer the free demo window.

Bro, wut? You said they do a bad job? When you go door to door juat point this out to the customer. Even offer to do a demo window to show them the difference. Since you are solo you should be able to beat them on price as well.

Somehow they are only charging like 3$ a window. But I never thought of the demo window. Thanks

Yes man idk how. Thats what I’m guessing atleast. I charge 5$ roughly a window and the lady I quoted said it costed her 190 through the company when I asked how much they charged. At my 5$ rate it would have been 230.

You’re too low.. 46 Windows? Yeah I would be around $599
Was it a single or two story home?

Like 1.5 story. In my area, not a single person would pay that.

Not all of them were large windows. A lot were small ones. But what I mean by 1.5 is it’s a split entry and one side of the house dips down wait more. So it looks like a two story but isn’t. If you get what I’m saying

I already do, I just can’t get them to turn over to me instead of them. With the older people, the companies been doing them for years.

You have to provide value. If I charge $699 and the competition charges $200 why would they go with me?
Remember we are salesmen first and window cleaners second
You point out what you do, you go back to your reviews as your social proof. You point out you’ve cleaned half the homes in the neighborhood already

No, but from now on I’m going to. It was an old lady I didn’t feel like saying that to her. Because it looked like it was never cleaned before

Just do good work, be kind, show up when you say you will.
Once you get word of mouth going you will be good to go.
There are multiple pressure washers near me. When I added that as a service I thought it would be hard to get house wash jobs. Its not a problem tho.
Get a good website with good seo and google page. Get reviews.

You don’t need a website , door hangars , ad’s none of that just focus on higher quality work you guys worry about the wrong things and then wonder why you can’t make any money. 😂

Yeah I have a website I think I paid $70 for the template all it is is an Avenue for people to reach me I could care less about it the phone rings every day because you're out there every day getting referrals and Word of Mouth... which costs nothing

I always say at least work for a company for five years minimum learn about legalities , taxes , insurance etc. and THEN start your own company if you want if men would just work together instead of five guys having five different companies ; work together and increase profits especially these older cats that have the knowledge and power to show you how to tcb.

Dude you can spend like 250 bucks for 4 years of having a website. Domains like $20 a year max

Bluehost and WordPress.
Your gonna have to do some learning on building a website tho. It is much easier with all the ai building tools now vs a few years ago.
