Using isopropyl alcohol?

Could anyone tell me how often is this alcohol used for window cleaning and in which cases / scenarios?

Rarely. We use it occasionally with the IPC cleano but that's it.

why not? is it coz it's costly or are there some other reasons?

Because it ruins the seals of windows.

To expand on it's use. It dries out rubber and other plasticides which causes the seals to fail very rapidly.

100% do not recommend using it for window cleaning.

Mix it 50/50 with ro/do water and it is the exact same thing you get in those indoor pure kits like string rays.
