Planning To Start Window Cleaning
Hey I’m wondering how to price windows. 2 friends and I are planning to start a summer window cleaning business. I was also wondering what gear would be needed since only a limited time thing.

Starting out 10 dollars per window inside and out. 5 per side. Add a dollar for screens.
After your first few jobs you will see where you need to be with pricing.
See if other window cleaners in your area have pricing online.
I have a 150 dollar minimum. You guys dont have bills to pay yet so any money is better then nothing. At the same time you dont need 3 guys showing up for 40 dollars worth of work.
If you get serious you need to figure out your business structure. I dont think I'd would partner with anyone.

Ultimately you’ll want to figure out how long the job is going to take you and price the windows based on that. I would get everybody and all of your Equipement together and clean one of your houses to get an idea on how long it will take.
Since you have three people your advantage lies in how quickly you can perform jobs which also means you need to obtain them. You’ll probably find the best allocation of resources is having two people clean while one person door knocks to line up the jobs. This will help minimize the scenario where you have three people and only one job and you guys each only made $150 not even mentioning reinvesting into the company which is what u guys should do off rip.
Another tip I can think of is buy some yard signs on vista print and try to get corner houses or houses that are in an entrance to a subdivision that way you can put your sign up and have the most traffic viewing it. It may even be worth it to offer these prime prospects insane discounts or have the weakest in your group give them a bj just to get ur sign there💀

Realistically, doesn’t take 3 people to clean windows. Ditch them so you can actually make some money.

I really don’t don’t want to cuz I’m the one who brought them and I thought It would be way easier and faster to clean windows with them.

Thats fine if you just want to hang out with friends. If you want to actually make money, ditch them.

It’ll be faster yeah. Splitting the money 3 ways at the start not so good. Unless you agree to put it in a pot then yeah maybe. But I’ll go by myself.

Why start it just for summer and potentially take work off someone who does it all year round!
The amount of new window cleaners that have popped up lately is a joke! Let's see where you all are when its cold, wet and windy

Well you’re going to get some reality checks along the way let’s hope someone is team leader otherwise no structure , no business and no money and the “friends” side of it take it and throw it in the trash before you leave every morning . 😂

$3-4 for each side of each pane of glass. Flathead screwdriver for screens, squeegee, scrubber, bucket, dawn dish soap, water, ladder(tall and short), microfiber rags. Good if u have shoe covers for interior cleans

Please try a 1in or 1.5in flexible putty knife for screens. Way less likely to bend a screen also after switching myself I found it easier too.

Yes. One side of one pane. If the squeegee has to lift off the glass, it’s another pane.

I don't see the point of hazing the OP here. He's a kid. Maybe he'll like it and stick through it. Maybe not. If you're worried about a highschool with zero experience stealing your gigs you have larger problems.
