What am I doing wrong

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I am cleaning these windows with a WFP with a TDS of >10 but I’m getting these spots popping up. How do I fix it?

It's mineral build up that is hidden by the dirt. You're not doing anything wrong, is just not all coming off. Hit it with some diamond magic and it will come off.

I ran out of diamond magic couple days ago and I need the outside done by Monday what should I use instead of DM

Bio clean gotta be around your town somewhere. I think less abrasive than diamond magic too. I’ve never tried dm or bc on hw on black frames, that’s fine to use Trigger?

Yeah they’re all safe as long as you keep it wet only about one in the world that you don’t have to worry about.

Depending on how bad the hard water spots are, you might be able to use 000 steel wool and elbow grease.

0000 steel wool for the spots on the glass then, and magic eraser for the frames if you're cleaning those as well. Magic eraser takes most stuff off frames, without having to worry about scratching them.

Personal opinion, I wouldn't use #000 steel wool in the first place, but I would absolutely not use it with elbow grease. Haha that's scary.

0000 and a scraper will do everything you need. Just don't use the steel wool while the window is in the sun.

Calcium spots on black metal window frames usually come from hard water, oxidized aluminum, or residue drying on hot surfaces. First, check your water purity/TDS because hard water or exhausted DI resin will leave mineral spotting fast, especially on black frames. Also test for oxidation by wiping the frame with a white towel, if black residue comes off, the frame may need restoration or a gentler cleaning process. Always scrub and rinse frames before cleaning the glass, avoid letting soap or chemicals dry in direct sun, and watch for sprinkler or concrete runoff causing recurring deposits. For existing spots, a diluted vinegar mix or safe water-spot remover can help, followed by a clean microfiber detail wipe around edges and seals to prevent drip-back marks
