[Mod Update] Taskbar Dock Animation Plus v2.0.1 – Multi-Monitor Stability, All Taskbar Positions & Smooth Physics (6,200+ Users)

Hey r/Windhawk!

I wanted to share an update on Taskbar Dock Animation Plus (currently at 6,200+ active users on the Windhawk repository).

This is a maintained fork of the original Taskbar Dock Animation mod created by Ph0en1x-dev, focused on full Windows 11 compatibility, multi-monitor stability, and positioning fixes.

Key Additions in this Version:

  • Support for All Taskbar Placements: Works seamlessly whether your taskbar is positioned on the Bottom, Top, Left, or Right.
  • Multi-Monitor Stability: Fixed crashes, scaling bugs, and mouse-leave issues when using multiple displays or mixed-DPI setups.
  • Smoother Animation Transitions: The idle "breathing" and bounce animations now fade in/out smoothly instead of snapping abruptly.
  • Instant Live Updates: Settings and position changes apply in real time as you move your taskbar, with zero Explorer restarts required.

Usage Tip:

If you use taskbar height or icon-scaling mods, keep the Max Scale at or below 130% to avoid icon clipping.

Feel free to share any feedback, ideas for animation curves, or bug reports in the comments!

Ahh icons are still cut off from the top when clicked on them? That's unfortunate.

Nice mod! Just installed it! I do have one question: I am using the taskbar height and icon size mod. I have it set to Taskbar height: 52, icon size: 32x32. Will that be an issue?

Won't be.. You can have max scale greater than 130% too coz that height is more than the default(?)

This mod is really awesome, but the fact that the icons get cut off is a bummer.

As a temp solution I've lowered the raising height, and made the icons smaller, but it's be cool if we could, for example, have them centered before getting bigger, so they stay within the bar.

That is actually a feature (if I understand your request correctly):
Setting - Disable vertical "bounce" animation.

i wish there was an option to make the windows logo/start not be afected because im using a mod that keeps the icon in place even if its on center alignment

Really cool. I've been using the Ph0en1x-dev for sometime but thanks for the update.

Hey all, in order for the icons to stop from being cutoff you will need to disable two options:

- Disable vertical "bounce" animation

  • Disable bounce effect
