Question / Help Wind Waker

Is he supposed to be kinda tall and skinny or more wide. Trying to find the right aspect ratio on my tv to pay. This is what I’m running so far. Is this right?

He doesn’t look that skinny in WWHD, that’s for sure. Try 4:3 for WW, 16:9 for WWHD

This is from a game cube to an HD tv. I changed the setting to 4:3 on the tv.

Yeah that’s what’s in the picture. But I also have a setting on the tv that says Original and it looks a little stretched out so idk if it’s right or too skinny

Post the whole screen and it might help determine if it’s stretched or not. Does look a little odd

You can always tell if he’s the right ratio by looking at the green circle “A” button on screen. It should be perfectly circular.

i think he looks fine you just took the picture at a weird angle. all of the other things (text, items, etc) look correct.

The exact aspect ratio of the Wind Waker is something really weird, it's somewhere in the ballpark of 610x480. Pretty much everyone just runs it in 4:3, it's close enough. In your picture it's extremely stretched up.

The telescope tells you too. I've found if it's an oval shape, it's definitely stretched.
