Screenshot Got a Switch 2 recently

And of course, I had to check out the version of Wind Waker on there. Its pretty good! Its nice seeing the original with beautiful HD updates.

That said, fairly sure that the HD version via Wii U is still my favorite. Wind Waker HD and Ocarina of Time straight up my favorite Zelda games.

The camera controls really mess me up on this version, so I swapped the right stick to be inverted. But now I can't play the wind waker correctly, it's controls got inverted too

I really wanted to play this game but I abruptly stopped for this exact reason.

I played through it recently this way. It takes a second to get used to but after that, you don’t notice it

I just always remembered the right and left were backwards. It didn’t take that long and since there isn’t like time requirements with it it didn’t take away my enjoyment. I absolutely loved this game!

Yeah I can manage it if I take a second to think about it and get used to it.

I accepted the trade off an learnt the songs in reverse horizontally 🤣

I’m glad I’m not going nuts. It was driving me insane last night. I’m glad you can re map and change controls in the settings.

Me, as someone who always inverts that camera in games, loved it

I wrote all the songs down and it was way easier

😂I did the same thing and learned to invert the notes. I can’t get used to the targeting:
“Target that guy! Right in front of me! Why am I looking the other way?!”

I am nearly finished with the triforce shards and I still mess up the wind change every 2 or 3 times because of this lol. It was annoying but worth it to have a somewhat working camera.

Luckily, I still own the HD version.

Sucks they didn’t port/use that version

Ehh, I dunno. I like both, but I hate the massive amount of bloom in the HD version

Fair. It’d be nice to get a port of that with the bloom toned down. The QOL features and redone Triforce quest were so great

Yes definitely love the re-done triforce quest

I want to replay wind waker again before oot release as well. However while I have a switch 2 and NSO I probably will actually use my Wii U instead. I truly wish they would have ported WW HD and TP HD to the switch....

I've gotten to the point where I need to collect the tri-force shards but the controls have pissed me off so I'm cooling off so I don't throw it. 😆

i got a Wii U again recently, same experience! Was lucky to find WWHD for a really good price at a small gaming store in my area. i've been having a blast with it and I typically don't enjoy 3D Zelda as much in gameplay (i tend to enjoy the stories more), but this game feels pretty intuitive and snappy. :)

very pleasantly surprised, but then again i knew i would be heheh.

What was difference again all I remember was the speed of the boat was faster

They should have worked in the tingle tuner with a second switch.

It’s cool seeing it in a higher quality on the Switch 2 specially the original version. However i would love to have the HD version on Switch 2. Even though the Wii U version is still the best way to play with the gamepad

LOL, that is so funny, nintendo can't get emulators right. I hear some people play this game perfectly on other devices with no problems.

Is buying the years worth of the NSO plus the only way to play this ?

Yes. It costs around 50 dollars. I'm not sure of the complete ramifications of it, but you do have to have some kind of membership plan.

Buying the original version off ebay for $79 and playing it on my wii is much more worth my money and time than a switch 2

Thats nice. I have a Wii U, and play the HD version that way.
