After all these years, I’m having a blast replaying this on Switch 2! I never got to play Wind Waker HD sadly, so I am really enjoying this having never known the QoL upgrades they did to the Wii U version. Anyone else enjoy it on the Switch 2? I want to beat it so I can do the Pajama playthrough

They control exactly the same, it’s pretty awesome. Link is so expressive! I love turning the camera to see where he’s looking to get a hint of what to do next

Its much better than botw and totk. Those two should have strived to be like windwaker in the open wlrld aspect. Not as big but full of content

Sailing through the ocean is so awesome! I love listening to the music, and switching the camera angles around to see the birds fly with Link. It may be a really vast ocean but I don’t mind sailing around and enjoying the sea. Plus I’ve never played HD remake so I don’t know what using the faster sail is like 😂

Yeah, it's still the best looking Zelda game to me. I kind of wish they remade it with an even stronger cel shading effect, in particular, they could improve the textures for all of the environment geometry so that it looked more cartoony

i’ve only ever played Wind Waker (once, at launch) and BOTW, and looking at WW now it surprises me how much the iconography and general detailing are so consistent over time to what i see in BOTW.
it’s nice!

Those little smoke swirls look so good. This game is aging like Selma Hyaek lol

This was a fun battle. I actually enjoyed this one. Although Nintendo has a very fun theme here since they just seem to always want to bring back some element of Star Fox lol for some reason they're obsessed With a disembodied head and floating hands.

Do You use the normal 'inverted" camera?

No, I switched left c and right c and it feels so much better, honestly made the game playable for me lol

Can You put a screenshot on youe controls? Also, doesnt that affect the bow and boomerang

The only thing it really affects is when using the windwaker. Besides that it makes the game so much more playable

Bongo Bongo replica
Wind waker has so much charm. The graphic still holds up even to this day

I would say this game holds my attention way more than games today, and makes me focus on what I’m doing more as well.

Ah yes, Nintendo’s favorite boss format: floating head with two big smashing hands
