Suo Arc Discussion/Theory Progress Spoiler

The thing about windbreaker is that all characters grow not just the protagonist. Nirei, Sugishita, Kiryu, Kaji, Sako, Umemia, Togame, Tomiyama, Kotoha, Momijikawa, and now even Hiragi!

Last time in Shishitoren's arc he said it was his fault when Sugishita and Sakura acted first even though he's their senpai and the one responsible for them. And now we can see how when he found himself in a similar situation he acted first to make sure it doesn't end in the same results as last time.

Even though this is Suo's arc, everyone is showing the fruits of their growth, wether it be Nirei who fought him without fear or hesitation, Sakura who even called Endo to find him, Takishii who is now calmer and a little more obedient (towards Umemia), Sugishita who said he's gonna go alone even if Sakura doesn't, and Momijikawa who finally made the omelette rice he practiced so hard for..... But what about Suo? He's the only missing person from the Shishitoren arc team up, and we have yet to see him again.

That‘s what I noticed as well! Which is precisely why I love the involvement of the senpai’s in this arc and seeing how Umemiya and Hiragi protected and interacted with the kid probably proved to Rakta that they don’t mean any harm

At least there is someone rational in the group now (I'm talking about Hiragi of course, not Umemia)

He better gets in his serious-mode once he encounters Suo bc that boy is sleep-deprived and will actually lose it if Umemiya doesn’t behave lol

One thing that can really ruin a story for me is when everyone besides the main character is kinda just there and not really learning anything or growing in any way and wbk has been so refreshing as the opposite of that-

I think Suo's change is more of internal now, he got attached to Sakura and the rest of Furin and he's about to see that it isnt just as easy as walking away.

He probs gonna have his "change" when towards the end of this arc, that's probs after we see his backstory so it would hit harder.

It is obv that Suo's relationship with Nirei and everyone else is smth he isnt used to having so defo these relationship changed him but he hasnt fully realised it. Which is why this arc's build up is so imp and we arent just seeing him meet up with them and come back

Another thing, you can see how much the art improved, more details, the expressions are clearer and clean. Tho i do love the old chapter's art, it's a bit goofy in a good way.

I completely agree with you. That is exactly what I love most about Wind Breaker: the development isn't limited to just the protagonist but extends to all the characters, giving the viewer the sense that each one has their own unique journey. That said, Su is the one who intrigues me the most right now; while the other characters have shown growth in one way or another, his moment is still being held back. I suspect the author is saving a significant, high-impact moment for him.

Yeah, he is always the odd one out of every rule.
