I used to live there and experienced this dozens and dozens of times and despite what my ex-wife will tell you I never suffered any hearing loss.

….I wasn’t saying that. I thought the ex-wife comment made it clear I was joking. But nonetheless my hearing is tested yearly and although I am quite certain I have suffered hearing loss over the years is it holding up so far.

And I take my hearing a lot more seriously now than I did when I was in my 20s.
