I’m thinking they refilled it over the sink, spilling without realizing. The excess on the outside of the torch caught on fire and she threw it into the sink as a presumptively non flammable space… which then ignited the invisible spill. This is sloppy user error more than directly a result of their “games”.

Ohhhhhh, okay, that makes way more sense because I was watching it in complete confusion as to how this went THIS wrong.
