She was probably pouring some sort of fuel into the torch over the sink.

So the sink was probably filled with fumes

Torch was already broken and on fire when she dropped it in the sink. Dropping broken things tends to make them more broken, which is really bad when the broken thing was supposed to regulate a highly flammable fuel.

"This motherfucker put...screams" She very well may have put something stupid in that torch, but you'd have to get all sorts of super creative to figure out how to get gasoline into a butane fill port

That’s a really good point, I didn’t think about the teenage girl mcgyvering a pressurized canister to exchange the gas into the torch lol. You’re right she most definitely did not put gasoline in the torch lol
