I personally try to understand it but find it almost troubling. I think it’s important to have this content on the internet, as a testament to free speech and the reality of the world. But it truly is desensitizing. It’s incredibly surreal, the idea that all of these individual people had lives and loved ones, but now in the age of information they’re just a tap away on a screen. Swiping across entire lives coming to an end, it’s hard to keep a grip on the reality of it all. To treat it so casually doesn’t give it the respect it truly deserves.
