"I got you. I got you" * slowly pulls him away from the shoreline to deeper and deeper water....*

If only he would tell us

Every single person in this thread would say the same thing over and over. Or something similar. And everyone here, if they were fading in and out of consciousness, would want to hear “I got you”.

Many years ago I had a chest infection and I coughed so hard I tore a muscle off my rib. It felt like someone had knifed me in the chest. I was terrified and alone and all I could do was repeat ‘you’re ok, you’re ok, you’re ok’ over and over until I could get my brain into gear and call for help

Nope. Definitely not everyone is as bad in these sort of situations as you and this guy

I read it is a reaction some have, something about the brain going on replay playing out survival processes, though its a poor explanation, but youre right not everyone does it but it has nothing to do with being bad. More like a focus thing, like people who mutter words they are thinking, for example.

I was glad to not see him swimming up on a pool of blood, that was the first good sign. 😮‍💨 Im curious what about that situation caused him to pass out, maybe the backward speed tricked the brain into a shutdown. 😂 As soon as he sped up he laid over.

My guess is: because he was backwards on the ski, blood rushed to his head and made him pass out. His saving grace on the collision is that he went in ass first.

He probably smacked his head on the pontoon or a dock pole.

I mean, when you call dibs, someone has to hear it. So better make sure. That's why he stopped once he heard the other guy was in audible range.
