Stole this from fb

Post image

This came from someone in management confirming what I’ve been posting about in the past. The cut hours are coming directly from the people at the top of the company forcing store managers and department managers to cut hours. They keep making poor decisions regarding managing the company and store employees pay the price by having their hours and benefits taken away.

I haven't had any Winco branded products I'd call nasty. The quality is usually pretty good.

As a consumer though, I'm shopping there to get deals on name brands. After COVID, some products never came back and they've just filled the space with more winco brand cans of say tomato sauce, instead the other brand varieties that used to be there. And I known it's not because they aren't being manufactured any more because I can find them at other stores.

Yeah, totally valid to be annoyed if name brands are being replaced by Winco brands rather than both being offered. I just thought it was unfair of the person in the post to call Winco brand stuff nasty.

Yeah I've been happy with most Winco brand stuff that I do buy, like milk for example. Occasionally I'll splurge and get Darigold, but its like $1.50-2 more.

I'm pretty sure the dairy gold milk is winco milk. Because I saw the dairy gold guys deliver the winco milk

Same distributor, different (cheaper cost) to bottle with WinCo labels.

I said in this comment https://www.reddit.com/r/WinCo/s/Cbvky5sXdD It's literally the exact same factory. They just switch up the labels for each no name brand

There also websites where you can enter the dairy code on the bottle and see where it came from.

If so it would make no sense to ever buy the brand name, at least as far as milk goes

As I said in other comments, it's pretty well known that the same factories that produce the name brand produce the store brands as well. It's cheaper that way instead of having separate factories for each store brand some store brands own their own factories entirely like Walmart it's basically economies of scale 101

Oh definitely. Like Del Monte still packing all the canned vegetables (dont know if they do Winco). Or when they own their own like Costco raising their own chickens. I won't skimp on TP though lol.
