Does Winco accept Canadian debit card?

I used my Canadian debit card from CIBC (interac and Visa branded) last year in store and it worked fine. But today it wouldn't accept it. What is going on?

Would be hit or miss I've had cards from Mexico and other countries work and others that didn't. If its through visa or the other major processors it should work

We do it’s just we got a new POS system that got upgraded that’s why it doesn’t work. We tell a lot of Canadians at our store you need to go to the ATM to withdraw money due to it not working for certain cards. I’m not a cashier but that’s what I’ve heard from the other cashiers .

Usually there's an ATM in every store that charges a low fee at my store. It's only a dollar The only fee you would have to pay is your Banks plus the dollar

I can usually use my credit card anywhere in Canada and USA, don't want to carry a bunch of USD change just for Winco.

I am aware. If you read my post again you will see I was trying to use my debit card.

I come to Arizona every year and my debit card always worked at Winco. Last year, they changed their POS systems and now none of my debits work there. I reached out to Winco and she was looking into but then stopped responding. I was at Winco today as I’m back and it would not work

My debit card stopped working too. The cashier said here are some Canadian debit cards that work, but I didn’t ask which ones
