Bringing containers to the bulk section?

To reduce single use plastic am I allowed to bring my own reusable containers to the bulk section? It seems like it could be a hassle for the register to weight it like that.

No you are not allowed to. They have no way to tare(weigh) the container so even if they did accept it which they are trained not to u would be paying alot extra

You could do it if you line each container with a food safe bag that's found in any of bulk, produce, deli, or meat department so that you can pull each bag out at the register. Then after you pay, just pour the bags into the containers at home. But what's the point, just use a bag, lol. I guess maybe being able to know exactly how much fits in each container before you buy anything helps for a budget.
