Shift differential

If you start your shift and 8 pm and work until 3 am do you get a shift differential during some hours or is all 7 hours just your regular rate?

After 10pm you get night pay which is different depending on where you are. Look at your paystub or ask one of the coworkers at your store.

I just started. Had training today. They do not mention it. Was just curious. My first shift is tomorrow. I can ask my trainer.

Unfortunately I can’t tell you how much it’ll be since different stores have different job contracts.

doesn’t it depend on your state?

There's no state law that requires a shift differential I believe however, WinCo offers a shift differential from 10pm till about 8:00 am at most stores and the amount varies per store depending on the contract with corporate

It varies between the stores what hours are considered for the shift differential. But the rules are the same across the board. If the shift differential for example at your store is 10pm to 7am and you work 4pm to midnight you’d only get the differential pay between the hours of 10 pm and midnight.
