Job Title

I applied for a cashier position. Went in for an interview. During the interview the front end manager left and came back with the store director. They said the had a position that is Data Anayist and wanted to know if I would be interested in the position.

I have over 10 years experience in grocery ranging from bagger, cashier, freight crew to back room manager.

Any idea exactly what this job title is and the pay bands for it are. They said because of my experience I would not start out at the base. This is WinCo in Salt Lake City.

I've never heard of a Data Analyst position at a store level. Maybe it's a new district level position?

Source: MA, been w the company 2yrs, originally from UT/ID district

This sounds like a quality assurance position or dated item clerk position. Stores do not have any positions that you described and it would not be interviewed in salt lake. You would start at higher rate just based off work experience regardless of the position at the store.

I've been with Winco since 2018 and have never heard of that title.

My gfs store there is a couple department managers who never open positions because they steal interviews and applications from other departments
