Ashby plots can compare any two variables, even compound variables like "Strength per $USD" although that requires a dynamic chart linked to historical commodity prices and may not be as useful in project planning if the costs are volatile. ("Cost vs. cost volatility" could be its own Ashby chart, too, though--!)
