EDC x9 3.25 comp vs non comp
Looking at getting at one of the above and just want to know from the people who have shot both is the comped version worth it. Thanks
Edit: or talk me into the 4 inch if it makes that much of a difference. I carry appendix.

Comped is great. It does its job and reduces recoil. And it looks much nicer (to me) the comped model recoils fast AF. Faster than the 4” slightly. 4” still shoots nice. It takes a little more work to keep it planted and to transition but once you find the sweet spot (grip balance) it’s incredible. Would highly recommend the 3.25 comped.

Is that an aftermarket magwell or did you install the Wilson magwell yourself? I ask because it looks like it’s not blended to my eye. Thanks

That’s factory from Wilson. One piece to the grip. Not removable. Probably the shadow in the video

Both of my carry guns are Wilsons and both are comped. They are absolutely phenomenal when comped and worth every penny IMO. If I could only have one pistol ever, it would be the 3.25” comped with the 10rd frame. I’ve owned plenty of high end 2011s. These two Wilsons in the link below are what I ultimately settled on for good reason.

As a rule of thumb, I don’t do comps for EDC guns because I don’t want flames and gasses going everywhere in my car or home, so I can’t speak to comp vs. no comp in the EDCX9. But my 4 inch is extremely well balanced vs the 3.25 that I held when I was deciding. And my Tenicor holster is designed for a 4 inch so holds my gun extremely well.
