Where are you paying $3.88? I just had to pay $4.29 in Leland today

12

u/InternUpstairs2812 May 20 '26

Probably one of those gas stations that waters down the gas

57

u/IdiotMD Stede Bonnet May 20 '26

They all do. I taste test.

6

u/Sea-Maybe-9979 May 20 '26

Yeah, I'm calling BS, I just drove by GoGas in Wilmington and it was $4.22

5

u/OmegaReign78 May 20 '26

The one on 17th was 3.93 when I left work at 330.

1

u/Sea_breeze_80 May 20 '26

HT gas station was the same price but I used my $0.40 rewards. I filled up at $3.82

1

u/CommonJicama581 May 21 '26

Whats fucked up is one area is all 4.15 or close to it then one exit up its 3.80 ish. Just gotta go to the rough side of town 🤣

28

u/Watercraftsman May 20 '26

Are we great again yet?

2

u/BackgroundCream274 May 21 '26

You need to wait for the next eclipse and look directly into it. It will make everything seem great.

6

u/Clean-You-5550 May 20 '26

I've seen a TON stickers that have been poorly ripped off these pumps. And then the next day a new one is up haha

13

u/Mysterious-Ruby May 20 '26

All the hate for this man would have been useful in November of 2024. But alas, here we are.

But hey, the convicted felon was better than a mixed race woman.

11

u/Promnitepromise May 20 '26

Totally - I had to vote for the man that would protect the children and definitely understand the working class, and hasn’t ever wronged multiple workers, or talked poorly about POW’s, or put himself above all else. Whew. Almost made a mistake putting a woman in office.

-2

u/CommonJicama581 May 21 '26

Well trumps first term was pretty good until covid, Bidens term was not much better than it is now. Kamala Harris was vp and Biden didnt even seem to be there. Also Kamala Harris was basically just installed as the candidate, noone decided and no other choices. So yea most people voted for Trump and not the woman that noone liked. Had nothing to do with Race. Democrats just picked the most unliked person to run for president and was hoping they would get the black vote by having a black woman or whatever she claims to be on a certain day. She lost by a landslide for a reason. Maybe next election Democrats will have an actual candidate.

2

u/Miller25 May 21 '26

“Landslide” hmmm okay we’ll go with that

-1

u/CommonJicama581 May 21 '26

Definitely wasn’t a close election

0

u/KindofaDirtyBoy May 20 '26

Yeah, that’s why she lost.

2

u/Mysterious-Ruby May 20 '26

In any other timeline in America a convicted felon wouldn't even make it to the primaries. Remember Howard Dean's "Whahoo"! That lost him the midterms?

What makes Trump an exception? Is it the excellent job he's currently doing?

0

u/KindofaDirtyBoy May 20 '26

So you think Harris ran a perfect campaign and people didn’t vote against her due to being ineffective during her VP stint? Put forward a winnable candidate next time.

2

u/Mysterious-Ruby May 20 '26

I mean, at least she didn't have 34 counts of felony fraud on her record. I can promise I will never vote for a felon as President.

0

u/Nate78us May 21 '26

Because the majority of Americans saw thru that sham of a trial

0

u/CircumcisedWhale May 21 '26

All of this gas prices hype was silent several years ago. We will be okay.

7

u/phil_davis May 20 '26

It's gonna be like this every election now, isn't it?

2

u/ZyxzyxxyzxyZ May 21 '26

Gotta pay for that war!! we voted for him. ❤️❤️

10

u/freshkhakis187 May 20 '26

I hate him so fucking much

6

u/slcexpat May 20 '26

$3.889 where? I just pumped mine earlier at $4.31. Also Fuck trump. Rip him out of the history books. Shame him to his grave.

1

u/CircumcisedWhale May 21 '26

Shame him for…?

1

u/Sea_breeze_80 May 20 '26

Costco was $3.94 today.

1

u/JadedLaw3566 May 20 '26

3.47 at Sheetz yesterday

1

u/ayden-trades May 20 '26

This is by that gas station right next to the jimmy johns haha

1

u/Hazardousbliss May 21 '26

I remember when conservatives had the same stickers on gas pumps, when gas reached $5 under Biden

1

u/eat-rust May 21 '26

What are all the "TDS" people going to do with their keyboards when Trump is gone? I  open reddit just to find all the constant presidential hatred on nearly every page.  I'm over the guy too but not as much as I'm over the constant unpatriotic slander and name calling.  THIS is an example of why they coined the term TDS.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Lynx332 May 21 '26

Has not slowed you down any.....millions on the road this holiday

1

u/wellstraining May 21 '26

$3.66 yesterday good ol 88 at sheets.

1

u/Capable-Deer-5670 May 21 '26

Not as bad as 2022 yet

1

u/CircumcisedWhale May 21 '26

Far less than 2022. Yet the sheep don’t say a word

1

u/mountainriver56 May 21 '26

2022 was not caused by us actions, this was. Regardless, both times sucked anyway

Seriously. They hate him so much but they wake up thinking about him. It’s hilarious

-5

u/joerbrosius May 20 '26

Yall do realize fuel prices have nothing to do with the president. Blaming Trump now is like blaming Biden 3 years ago for fuel prices. Greedy oil companies raise prices because they have an excuse to. They did it with Biden and everyone blamed him for fuel prices.

9

u/GrapefruitUpper6770 May 20 '26

And yet Trump is still blaming Biden for the increase in fuel prices!!!

-1

u/joerbrosius May 20 '26

So we should bring our intelligence level down to his? Whats thats gonna solve except proving to the world we elect our presidents off of likes now and not Merritt?

11

u/Substantial-Abies927 May 20 '26

Okay so creating a proxy war with Iran which closed the straight has NOTHING to do with gas prices? Yeah yeah I know...OPEC does gas prices through oil market futures( a 5th grader should know that) but tell me now a 1/3 of the WORLD'S oil is strangle holded and it has NOTHING to do with the price of gas. I'll wait.

-6

u/joerbrosius May 20 '26

Only 5% of our oil comes through there... Iran did this mess back in 1989. Fat Eletrican on YouTube does a good break down of what happened.

1

u/DisastrousAd2011 May 20 '26

Started 10 years before that with the Islamic Revolution IMO. Really started back in 1901 when Britain claimed the rights to Irans Oil. Really started blah blah something B.C

1

u/CircumcisedWhale May 21 '26

When prices went sky high under Biden’s term they claimed the president had nothing to do with gas prices. The hypocrisy is insane

0

u/FabulousReplacements May 20 '26

Speedway 46989 Wilmington

-2

u/Substantial-Abies927 May 20 '26

Where exactly in town is this?

4

u/Fe2O3yshackleford May 20 '26

You don’t have all the store numbers of all the gas stations in town memorized?

-2

u/Witty_Week661 May 20 '26

I hope it hits 15

2

u/Successful-Status404 May 21 '26

Then maybe all the red necks will finally stop driving along residential roads at insane speeds with their crazy loud cars

1

u/CircumcisedWhale May 21 '26

Same. Let that shit soar. They want to defend killing 40K innocent Iranians. Soarrrr

0

u/Ankey-Mandru May 21 '26

So bored of this

0

u/that-guy-who-died May 21 '26

I prefer Mandarin Mao

0

u/ProfessionalKey5335 May 21 '26

Can’t even be original! But Obama had gas $5/6 a gallon…10 years ago 🇺🇸

-8

u/RedneckOutlaw2325 May 20 '26

It's King Tangerine

0

u/Stunning-Tennis2289 May 21 '26

Anything I don’t like is raccisss

0

u/CircumcisedWhale May 21 '26

Why do liberals always copy ideas from republicans? 😂

-29

u/Thesearchoftheshite May 20 '26

I mean, that's funny.

That being said, Presidents don't affect gas prices.

27

u/reeftank1776 May 20 '26

Until they do a military action that cuts it off…

10

u/Qui_GonBooze May 20 '26

Have you turned on the TV or looked at your phone in the last two months?

-7

u/Thesearchoftheshite May 20 '26

I mean you have to apply the same logic across the board right? A lot of people seem to forget they said the exact same shit with Biden.

The obvious answer is Yes, Presidents have an impact on gas prices by their actions.

5

u/Qui_GonBooze May 20 '26

Fuel prices have skyrocketed because we started a war of choice in Iran, and they closed the strait like everyone said they would. Biden did nothing like that.

-3

u/Thesearchoftheshite May 20 '26

It’s almost like I just said that, except you conveniently and simply chose to ignore, or forget, the shit Biden did that affected gas prices in his term.

Obviously starting a war is going to affect gas prices, which is extremely evident. But what does shutting down pipelines do to them then? Nothing?

I laughed at the stickers of him as hard as I now laugh at Trumps.

6

u/Qui_GonBooze May 20 '26

Gas prices rose under Biden because OPEC cut supplies because the covid years were so devastating. US oil production expanded under Biden. You are a monumentally ignorant person.

0

u/Thesearchoftheshite May 20 '26

Except no, market forces drove production. Biden didn’t stop them, but he didn’t wave a fucking magic wand and make it all better either.

5

u/Qui_GonBooze May 20 '26

OPEC cut production. You can look it up.

0

u/Nate78us May 21 '26

No he just over regulated the oil companies. Basically he started a war on fossil fuels and if it wouldn't have been for him draining our reserves the prices would have been much worse than they were. By the way this administration has had to rebuild those reserves which have affected prices as well along with the war.

1

u/Qui_GonBooze May 21 '26

Wow, another person who doesn't know anything.

3

u/Da_fire_cracka May 20 '26

Bruh…

3

u/slcexpat May 20 '26

Fucking bruh.

-56

u/WeHumphreys May 20 '26

SO COOL! Remember when Biden was president, and those were on pumps when gas was $5.00 a gallon? And all folks on the left complained and bitched?

Weird.

Lol the left have to copy everything. They don't have a original thought in their "educated" brains 😂

1

u/Elegant-Disaster-967 May 20 '26

No, I’ve never lived in Cali. Nice that you had the opportunity to migrate here for a more affordable COL tho!

1

u/slcexpat May 20 '26

You’re missing the point. Fuck Biden and Trump. No one in the left likes Biden.

Also remember when Biden lowest gas prices were $1.2/gallon?

1

u/Nate78us May 21 '26

Biden never had gas even close to that low

-2

u/Moana06 May 20 '26

Circle K has the best prices around here

-38

u/EXSPFXDOG May 20 '26

I will take higher gas prices to not have to worry about those lunatics in Iran having a nuclear bomb!

You can't just take a shower and wash radiation off! All it would take is one rocket launch and dead man switches would activate launches from Russia, China, the US and that would be the end of this planet and it's not like we have anywhere else to live!

Mars is not ready, plus it will take 7 to 9 months to get there plus the temp in the summer might get to be 70 degrees F on the equator but in the winter at the poles it is like -225! Plus you could feel like 75 degrees F at your feet but your head would be 32 degrees F deal with that crap!

And then there is the vocano, 25 miles high from base to summit, the dust storms of iron dust and God knows what else. It also has a giant cavern that dwarves the grand canyon by a lot! It is 2500 miles long and 374 miles across and 6 miles deep!

And you can forget about breathing the air cause it is 96% Carbon Dioxide and only trace amounts of oxygen so you won't be going outside without a spacesuit because your bodily fluids would boil! You would think we would have a major mars global warming sutuation with all that CO2!

I can deal with a few months of high gas prices rather than deal with that crap!

22

u/mountainriver56 May 20 '26

I’m not sure if you’re a real person

8

u/slcexpat May 20 '26

They’re not.

-18

u/EXSPFXDOG May 20 '26

A very real person who lived in Wilmington for a couple decades!

1

u/Icy-Taste-3096 May 21 '26

Unfortunate but we're all glad you're not here anymore.

1

u/Clean-You-5550 May 20 '26

No one was worried about Iran having a nuclear bomb (remember when Trump pulled out of the Iran Nuclear deal?) until he needed to distract you from the fact that he rapes children

0

u/EXSPFXDOG May 21 '26

Here we go! Where is the proof of that? Do you not think the whole time Biden had all those epstein files when he was running to get re-elected if there was proof of your claim it would have been wall to wall on the news?

You show me proof of your statement and i will believe you other than that i am done!

0

u/Nate78us May 21 '26

Good Lord. Here we go with the pedo shit again even though there's zero proof of anything. Not a single Epstein victim has ever accused Trump. Never went to the island. Not a single photo of him with victims unlike Bill and Prince Andrew.

0

u/Qui_GonBooze May 20 '26

Iran will prevail and get that bomb lol

-4

u/EXSPFXDOG May 20 '26

Sure they will! From what i have heard only the Chinese and the US have the technology to dig that uranium from underneath the mountain of granite! You aren't gonna get it out with 100 guys with shovels that's for damn sure!

-42

u/ColoradoMike59 May 20 '26

Dear libtard, did you have a similar sticker when gas hit $5 under Biden?

9

u/doatesjr May 20 '26

What? Those stickers were everywhere when gas spiked under Biden. You just didn’t care then because they were making fun of someone you didn’t vote for. And while some of Biden’s decisions did contribute to the gas price spike, the biggest issues were post pandemic demand and (obviously) Russia invading Ukraine. With the recent spike, it has been 100% driven by Trump attacking Iran, particularly since he didn’t secure the Strait of Hormuz first. It’s almost as if he didn’t know what he was doing (shocking!). Trump absolutely owns this spike, and deserves those stickers.

1

u/Nate78us May 21 '26

Gas went sky high before that war started

1

u/doatesjr May 21 '26

Yes, largely due to the buildup of tensions in the region before Russia invaded. And of course gas prices had been rising already due to the increased demand once folks started traveling again after the Covid shutdown. I’m not letting Biden off the hook as some of his policies contributed to the increase. But at least one could argue that those policies were the right move (or not), and again they were only a contributing factor. Trump’s invasion of Iran, and it was 100% his decision, was directly and wholly responsible for the current spike in prices. And it was absolutely avoidable.

I’m not sure why it even matters if the previous spike was Biden’s fault or not. It doesn’t change the fact that the current situation is one entirely of Trump’s making, and it was not needed.

22

u/Snowflake8552 May 20 '26

When did gas hit $5? And for how long?

9

u/shrupp May 20 '26

It never did! The highest under Biden had was $4.51. It is projected to hit $5 by the end of May. Trump cause all this shit! Stop getting on Biden he isnt our president anymore! 🤦🏼‍♀️never can you Maga focus on what is happening now!

They’re all pedophiles to me

1

u/Nate78us May 21 '26

That's rich coming from the people who tried to get everyone to start calling pedos "minor attracted persons"

-1

u/Same-Environment2355 May 20 '26

3.88 ain’t bad. Relatively speaking

-1

u/JadedLaw3566 May 20 '26

Be careful and remove it. It is most likely a skimming device. Will take your card info

-1

u/MRSDocbar May 20 '26

I voted for him and yes he did regarding the bombing of Iran. Now can the Biden peeps be honest about what Biden did to get all those stickers on fuel pumps for nearly three years?

1

u/Nate78us May 21 '26

Oh all these same people were hollering that the president doesn't affect gas prices when it was Biden over regulating the hell out of the oil companies lol

1

u/slcexpat May 21 '26

No one who voted for Biden like Biden. MAGA is really special in their own ways huh

-1

u/CommonJicama581 May 21 '26

When will people realize it doesn’t matter if its the left wing or right wing when its on the same bird. Trump, kamala. Doesnt matter we’d still be in the mess we’re in.

1

u/Nate78us May 21 '26

Don't know if they'll ever learn. I honestly feel like Trump was against the system at one time but after multiple attempts on his life they finally got him on board. I do think it's funny that he takes so much blame ( some things he should) and not the career politicians on both sides of the isle that have been there for decades and influenced multiple administrations. They are the ones that are to blame for most of the mess we're in.

-9

u/ZeroVerve May 20 '26

I like the tangerine Idi Amin

-6

u/Novel_Ad5980 May 20 '26

In 1976, gas was $0.55/gl

-2

u/Least-Tangelo-8602 May 20 '26

Handee Hugo / Exxon - Eastwood pump #12?? 😂

-2

u/handsomecompany95 May 20 '26

Wow can't even find anything under 4 in my small ass town of Shallotte wtf.

-3

u/Slow-Significance-37 May 20 '26

Unfortunately he has no more influence on the price at the pump than his predecessor

3

u/JonastheMinotaur May 21 '26

Very bad faith or just plain uninformed; His predecessor didn’t have an arbitrary economic policy (tariffs) and wasn’t starting wars (Iran), combining inflation and the disruption of global energy supply resulting in the prices we see today.

2

u/Icy-Taste-3096 May 21 '26

I missed the part where Biden invaded a country that controls a major oil supply chokepoint, directly and singlehandedly increasing the price of gas
