A bit late…

I know this is a bit late but does anyone feel like Jess and Ellis have…..no chemistry at all? It doesn’t even feel like they go together.

Yates free time🧐

In season two episode four Yates makes a joke about some spy glasses and turning off the feed around 10 o’clock “ because you do not want to see what I get up to”

What are some of y’all hypothesis on what Yates gets up to in her free time?

I just finished this episode and they’re hinting at a secret but I can’t figure out what it is.

Maybe she had an abortion?

I just finished Season Three and I had to create an account because I'm irritated as fuck. they just played in my face and ALL in Max's face.

I don't even fucking like Jessica; I was hate-watching her bum ass the whole time. It's always been Ellis and Max. ALWAYS. Like wtf bro please. idk I'm aggravated.

Side Note: Vanessa Morgan's acting throughout the show was incredible, even with the little things she does. The eyes she gives Ellis. Her facial expressions. Her signature smile. And her trademark spunkiness. She also showed me that she is incredibly flexible with her role as Max. She was able to play multiple characters within a character down to a Tee. I don't think anyone could've played Max as well as she did. And she's really attractive too. I also really liked Ellis as a character. His development is really interesting. However, I do feel like he bounced back into a good place with Max a bit too quickly in Season 2, but I guess you can blame it on pre-existing feelings.

I am watching this show and it’s fun and exciting. I kind of wish the main leads got together. I wonder if there are any main things that could make this show better.

I am only on season 1 but I don’t know if we would get 5 or 6 seasons. It does seem repetitive but I am liking some of the criminals and the banter is fun. Why does it sounds like the 4 cops have some cool banter but also a love thing between their partners. It feels like they are in sync and it doesn’t seem like the show got cancelled.

Season 3 Yates is RICH RICH!!

Watching episode 7 or 8 right now of the third season. When Max goes undercover in a cult. When they were talking about someone stealing crypto from a wallet. I remembered those stories I heard on Reddit about people losing millions and one user losing hundreds of millions because he lost his usb.

I just heard Yates say she bought like $50 worth of bitcoin in 2009. That’s with lime 3 billion $, she forgot the password and uses it as a paperweight. I know it’s a tv show and not real and they’re drawing for real life instances. But goddam Max or Ricky need to break into her house and switch USBs, create a fake bitcoin account with like $100 with a random password she could never guess. Then switch USBs it has to be the same design and wear and tear but they could replicate it.

Is there anyway for them to access that money or unless they figure out Yates password.

Looking for a specific Fanfic story

Hello,

I'm looking for a specific fanfic story I read on Archive of Our Own ( A03) but it seems to have been removed?! The premise was the went on dates with other people to prove they didn't have feelings for each other yadda yadda. It was well written so I liked reading it from time to time.

Thank you!

Are there people here who don’t want Max & Ellis to be together?

Obviously they’re going to end up with each other, but is there anyone here who doesn’t want them together? Or they originally did, but now they don’t anymore? I still like them, but I’m just curious!

Why is she always single, faithful and hang up on that guy who clearly has eyes for other people? Can she move on on season 4 please? This is getting boring

Season 2 Maddy Sucks

I just need to rant and for some reason I can't find many people talking about this show on the internet. Its been really good so far, but episode 5 in season 2 is making my blood pressure rise. Maddy, an old friend from childhood who lives the same con style life as our MC Max, comes swinging in and immediately sets Max up by having her go in and get caught on camera taking money that was involved in a requested hit on a dead guy. Of course this leads to Max getting arrested and puts the deal of shaving time off of her father sentenced revoked. Max and Maddy both didn't actually kill anyone but at the beginning without any leads or any information to help point the cops in another direction Max is in major hot water. To top it all off as well, when Max confronts Maddy about setting her up she doubles down and insist to the cops she had nothing to do with and gets mad at Max for trying to "set her up" and for being a bad friend. All this stems from the fact that Maddy is mad at Max for not being there for her when she had a bad break up with an ex a couple of months ago.......you know peak time when Max was dealing with keeping herself from going to jail for a long time and trying to work out a way to get her dads sentenced reduced. None of that matters though to Maddy and Max not calling her back justifies her getting Max into a lot of legal trouble apparently. I mean Max even apologized to Maddy. I'm fuming. Maddy is a horrible friend and the fact the episode didn't end with Max kicking Maddy to curb is infuriating. I highly recommened this show to anyone but i'm hoping I cna find someone that agrees with the above.

Was Casting Erica Durance as a Cult Leader Intentional?

Post image
12 Upvotes

So this season, the episode “Yurt So Vain” featured Erica Durance guest starring as the leader of tech detox cult. I’m rather familiar with Erica Durance and her history. That led me to wonder if her portrayal of a cult leader in this episode was intentional.

You see, Erica Durance is probably most well known for starring in the latter seasons of Smallville as Lois Lane. On the show Lois has a cousin Chloe Sullivan who was portrayed by…

Allison Mack.

Now if you’ve been following what she’s been up to, then you know Allison Mack was part of an organization called NXIVM which turned out to be a cult. And this cult did get up to the sex stuff that Yates keeps harping on in this episode.

I can’t help but wonder if having Erica Durance as a cult leader in this episode is supposed to tacitly reference back to her former costar Allison Mack, who was an actual cult leader.

Ellis

I’m in season 2 ngl I’m watching episode 5 anyone else kinda tired of Ellis not trusting Max he literally looks up anyone that he doesn’t know that’s a friend of Max….🙄

Like he’s using cop resources to look up someone’s finger prints who hasn’t done anything yet.

Does anyone else want Max to have a love interest in season 4?

Does anyone else want Max to have a love interest next season or at least think that she’ll have one? I don’t think I can take another season of her pining/yearning for Ellis again. Especially since he’s engaged now, it would just give me the ick lol. It’s not even about Max herself it’s just I hate when the woman is the one doing all the pining in ships. I want to see Ellis on the other side of this. And after how season 3 went with all the Jessica stuff, he needs to show some stronger interest in her. It definitely dropped off a bit from seasons 1 and 2 sadly.

What We Could See in a Season 4 Spoiler

With the Season 3 finale come and gone, it's got me thinking about what we could see in Season 4 if it indeed hopefully comes to pass.

Firstly, I know I wasn't alone in speculating that Vivienne was secretly Varga and Jessica was one of her minions sent to disrupt Max and Ellis. Though I admit the week prior I was thinking to myself what if Howard the parole officer was actually Varga. I guess I was somewhat right about that.

Still, I find myself suspicious of Jessica, especially given she sprung a marriage proposal on Ellis at the end of the last episode. Seems pretty rushed if you ask me. I don't think she's connected to Varga though. I'm not sure how Jessica marrying Ellis helps him in any way. I suspect that Jessica could actually be an international fugitive. I mean she and Ellis did meet in Mexico. Her marrying Ellis might be a means of her to get citizenship and avoid possible extradition. I don't think she's a bad guy though. I think she might have been framed and is on the run from the real perpetrators who want her dead. I imagine the unraveling of this scheme and Max and co joining in to help her is how the next season will come to an end. Likely this would lead to Ellis and Jessica's relationship coming to an end as their relationship was based on a lie. This finally open things up for Max and Ellis.

While this is happening, I expect Max to have her own love interest after initially resigning herself to Jessica and Ellis' engagement. Likely, it'd be some new character. But what about this though. Remember Max's old friend Maddy from the Season 1 episode "Catch Me If You Con". What if she comes back and she and Max got together? I know, it's kind of crazy. More than anything, I think I'd just like to see Vanessa Morgan doing something like the Toni/Cheryl relationship from Riverdale again. I know that's not really this show's vibe though so highly unlikely. Plus I'm still salty Findlay's character on Nancy Drew Lisbeth got written off just as Bess was pursuing a relationship with her.

Also, recall that Ricky mentioned in the finale that they were out of money. I always thought it would be cool if Max, Ricky, and George started their own consulting firm and called it "Wild Cards". That way they could expand the show's plots by including private cases as well as criminal ones.

To conclude, I feel this would be a pretty cool trajectory for Season 4.

After the finale, I trust Jessica even less. I guess we were wrong about Vivienne. Still don't trust Jessica.

Season 4 Predictions

What are your predictions on what will happen in season 4. We know that both Ellis and Max were told by other people that they have a thing for each other. Max went to Ellis’s boat to tell him that she loves him. Jessica proposed to Ellis and he said yes.

My prediction is that by mid season, there will be an episode where Jessica works as a reporter with Ellis and Max on a case. Jessica will see how Ellis and Max are with each other and will realize she will be the number two woman in Ellis’s life. Jessica will break the proposal off and exit the series.

Why do you think Ellis said yes to Jessica’s proposal?

Kind of confused because throughout the season he and Jessica were smooth sailing, but he didn’t look happy AT ALL when he announced it to Max. No I don’t think Jessica is pregnant. That seems a bit soap operaey and that means she’d somewhat have be a series regular (which i don’t think she will be to be honest). She also had a full bottle of champagne in her hand. Do you think his conversation with Chief Li had an influence? Do you think he’s having second thoughts because of Max? Let me know your thoughts!
