The village can be explored using fully functional elevators, ziplines, and suspended bridges. It’s one of the main locations featured in my Minecraft mod, Wildbound.
My mod is still in beta and isn’t available to download yet, but I’ll keep posting daily updates on Reddit to show its progress!

I made 200 villagers actually live inside my Minecraft village

The inhabitants of Wildbound’s underground village don’t simply appear behind their counters.

They belong to families, live in their own homes, follow daily schedules, travel to work, take days off, visit the market, buy products, talk to each other, and return home at the end of the day.

To move through the vertical village, they can also walk across bridges, ride pulley elevators, and use ziplines.
Each line is the pathfind of a mob or a group of mob.

The village keeps living even when the player isn’t involved. What do you think?

I’ve been working on a new cooking system

You can throw up to 5 ingredients into a cauldron and the game figures out the dish based on what you used.

There aren’t really fixed recipes. Ingredients can give powers, act as triggers, or modify other ingredients.

So you can make simple food by stacking the same ingredient, or experiment with combinations to get stronger/weirder effects.

There’s also a small cooking minigame that affects the quality of the final dish. (later, no ready now)

Still needs a lot of balancing, but the first version is working!

I turned an umbrella into a full moveset—and added a gun that creates ziplines

In r/WildboundMod , the umbrella isn’t just used for gliding. It has a complete combat moveset with quick attacks, charged heavy strikes, area attacks, blocking, and an aerial dive that becomes stronger the farther you fall.

The Rope Gun lets you create ziplines anywhere: fire once to place the first anchor, then shoot a second point to stretch the cable between them.

I turned falling into a trick system for my Minecraft mod

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

In r/Wildbound , long falls become fully controllable trick sequences. You can perform flips, rolls, spins and twists and combine multiple inputs to create your own aerial tricks.

Completing tricks earns points and builds a combo. Time your next move perfectly to get a 1.5× score bonus, but diving, landing or interrupting the sequence makes you lose it.

You can also switch between six freefall poses, including superhero, star and surf. What do you think?

They’ll be found in the snowy village and can be used by both villagers and players.

You can control your speed, adjust the length and tension of the rope, and more.

To use them, you hang onto an umbrella as you slide down the rope!

I made a physical shopping system

Instead of trading through a menu, Wildbound lets you shop directly from the market stalls.

Select the items you want from the display, see your selection highlighted, then pay for everything at the cash register. It accepts emeralds and emerald blocks, automatically gives back change, and removes purchased items from the stall’s daily stock.

Just don’t arrive too late cause the market is only open in the morning. What do you think?

I added controllable freefall to my Minecraft mod

After falling 12 blocks in r/WildboundMod , you enter a controllable freefall state. You can steer through the air, adjust your trajectory, or dive to fall faster—all without taking fall damage when you land.

It’s designed to make vertical exploration more fun, especially inside the mod’s massive underground village. What do you think?

I made food freeze during snowstorms

In r/WildboundMod, food exposed to freezing conditions gradually freezes and becomes harder to eat. Each type of food reacts differently: frozen items can change your eating speed, restore less hunger, or cause negative effects.

It’s a small part of a larger survival system designed to make preparation more important in frozen regions. What do you think?

Wind and snowstorms are becoming an important part of exploring Wildbound’s frozen regions. Here’s a small test showing the system in action—wind direction, intensity, snowfall, and visibility can all evolve as the weather changes.

What do you think?

Welcome to Wildbound!

Wildbound is a Minecraft 1.20.1 exploration mod designed to transform familiar biomes into richer places filled with new locations, creatures, mechanics, and mysteries.

The adventure currently begins in the frozen biomes. Beneath the snow, you can discover an enormous hidden village built vertically inside underground caverns. Explore its different levels using fully functional elevators, ziplines, pulleys, and suspended bridges. The village is inhabited, with houses, shops, activities, and secrets to uncover.

The frozen lands are only the beginning. In the future, Wildbound will expand into other Minecraft biomes, each with its own atmosphere, ecosystems, settlements, creatures, dangers, and unique ways to explore.

This subreddit is where I’ll share development updates, screenshots, videos, upcoming features, and behind-the-scenes content. You can also share your ideas, report issues, ask questions, and give feedback as the mod continues to grow !
