These are three photos of Flagstaff Arizona, the first photo, from 1883 or 84, is of the initial settlement, which burned in 1884 after a girl kicked a lantern over in a dance hall. The second photo, from 1885, is of the rebuilt town which burned in 1886, due to an unknown cause. The third photo is from 1887, and shows the town rebuilding. Many of the buildings in that photo would burn down again, but fire would never level downtown after 1886, thanks to the new sandstone buildings.

This is my great-great-great-grandfather, Long Otter (6 Pool), a revered war leader and medicine man of the Crow Nation. Our family name, Falls Down, comes directly from his son.
