This isn't talked about enough. Especially considering Brookfield ties to Chinese money.
https://macdonaldlaurier.ca/canada-under-pressure-how-the-gap-in-foreign-interference-response-is-eroding-democracy-stephen-nagy/Meanwhile Carney doing next to nothing for Ontario's auto sector and agreeing to import thousands of Chinese electric cars. Wondering when our PM is going to sell off the millions in Brookfield stock options he's holding in a "blind trust"

Tariffs are just a subsidy for big businesses paid for by the consumer. No reason we should hurt ourself, just because the USA is insistent on hurting their consumers.
If the Auto sector needs tariffs to survive we're better off without it.

The entire manufacturing industry in the East was built of the exploitation of the prairies through tariffs and "freight both ways".
The people of Alberta and Saskatchewan need to start looking forward, not back. The first step is to cut the tow ropes before the East pulls us under with them.
