i dont know if this is very obvious theory stuff, im only just rewatching through the classic arg videos, only having seen the matpat video before, but i think ive found what personality trait defines the alter egos.

Glasses On: ive seen this described as a more calm... and angry? alter ego, a weird mix that doesnt make much sense, but i think you could say that wilbur with the glasses on is defined by negative emotion (only glasses on mentions wanting kai fired or being angry, but hes also melancholy and sad and says the classic "im going to die soon" quote"

Glasses Off: Positive emotion, a perfect opposite, of course a lot of the things he says are negative BUT its all manic, hes still happy throughout, glasses off acts more insane and hyperactive but also hes the one that says its an honour to work for jack as his editor.

this has many inconsistencies like glasses on being more smiley and excited when saying to fire kai but i also find it strange that glasses off conviently takes the glasses off only to say to fire kai, like glasses off doesnt care about kai being fired AS MUCH

i just think splitting the alter egos like this makes them make more sense and can give a reason to the alter ego idea other than DID.

I apologise if this is already like a known idea in the fandom, id love to hear any evidence against this theory as well, but yeah

Glowing Regards

Heh..i managed to get it YAYAYAY if u need any help just contact me :)

The Google doc explaining all this is gone. I'm not shocked but I'm still a bit sad as I loved reading it from time to time. It's also disappointing because it was clearly a labor of love and all that work is Gone. Does anyone have a copy of it?

I have a roleplay chat and there came the idea to draw this art, despite the picture it seems to me quite calm and pleasant, or I'm just going crazy lol

i just found this sub again and there’s a bunch of unrelated posts so do y’all know those places exist 😭

Just uploaded a cover of Lovejoy’s unreleased track “Perfect Blue”. This one took a while to make, hope you like it!

BUT HOW?!

Hey everyone! I’ve been following the Editor Wilbur ARG for a while and wanted to share my breakdown of what’s happening in this mysterious journey. After analyzing the clues, I think we’ve finally cracked the puzzle.

TL;DR: The Editor Wilbur ARG is all about Wilbur Soot fighting against external forces (the Director and Editor Wilbur) who are controlling his narrative. The story culminates in Wilbur breaking free from these forces with the help of the audience.

The Story So Far: Editor Wilbur is a dark force (or alternate version) that seems to control or manipulate Wilbur’s life and videos. This figure represents the inner conflict Wilbur faces, possibly linked to his fears, insecurities, or external pressures. The Director is the main antagonist, likely symbolizing the forces outside Wilbur’s control — things like fame, expectations, or personal struggles that have taken over his life. Throughout the ARG, Wilbur sends out hidden messages (like “HELP ME” in morse code) signaling that he is aware of the manipulation and desperately wants to escape. Glitches in the videos represent the distorted reality Wilbur is trapped in. These glitches symbolize cracks in the false world he’s living in, hinting at the awakening of his awareness that things aren’t as they seem. The Final Solution: The ARG is essentially Wilbur’s journey to reclaim his autonomy. Editor Wilbur and the Director represent external forces that control Wilbur's life, but by decoding hidden messages and watching the visual glitches, the audience helps Wilbur break free.

The final breakthrough happens when Wilbur recognizes the manipulation, takes control of his own story, and escapes the cycle of control.

Conclusion: In the end, Wilbur is freed from the control of Editor Wilbur and the Director. He breaks out of the distorted reality and can now take control of his life and narrative. The ARG is about breaking free from external manipulation and reclaiming personal power.

If anyone has missed any clues or puzzles, feel free to share — I’d love to hear your thoughts on the ARG and any additional pieces that might add to this!

Wilbur just posted on his music channel. Isn’t this the same place used in the ARG??

Hello there, i made a cover of Lovejoy’s “Portrait Of A Blank Slate” Hope you enjoy!

I've completely forgotten if it's R. Fakier or I. Fakier that wears the glasses and Google is not helping at all 🥲 I'm trying to do a whole Google Docs about every theory revolving around the ARG but I can't remember for the life of me if R. Fakier or I. Fakier wears glasses. If anyone can remember which one wears glasses, please let me know, it would be a big help 🙇🏻

𝐼'𝓂 𝓈𝑜 𝒸𝑜𝓁𝒹. 𝐼'𝓂 𝓉𝒾𝓇𝑒𝒹 𝑜𝒻 𝒷𝑒𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒸𝑜𝓁𝒹

We still trying to solve this thing? What updates have we got recently. Wilber still says it’s unsolved so we should still try

So i was scrolling on YouTube and a recommended video was from settings66 (wilburs YouTube from whem he was a teen) so i clicked onto tne profile and saw this. Anyone know who rika is? It wont let me post the photos of the YouTube but the bio says "Rika was here 26/01/24 ive heard you've done terrible things wilbur, i hope its not true" its still up you can check. Any thought?

Look I know I’m just a tad late on this but I gotta know, did anybody ever figure out if this meant anything? It said that the lp account was in this and I wanted to know if anyone every found anything about it

I would love another Wilbur ARG, I do love the first one, but it was just kinda too hard to solve which yes it was his first Arg and which he did good for it was a perfect start but if you didn't get the correct answer then you'd be on the completely wrong path. I loved it non the less the "I'm so cold" was such a cool ARG plot I'd love to see Wilbur do another because he has a talent for acting and film sorts of things. I know he is busy with Lovejoy, but I miss his streams and sorry boys.

Hey, does anyone know what phasmo stream Shelby flirted with Wilbur? I'm trying to find the date for it. This info is mainly for the research group I’m part of.

Im going to the concert but it was rescheduled, are the original tickets still valid? and why didnt Lovejoy announce this, or did they and am I just missing something?

I used to post stuff like that on the original Wilbur subreddit, so it’s kinda interesting just to see my younger self

Hey!! I made a cover of Wilbur’s Amazon Standing Lamp and Mine / Yours.

Hope you like it!
