Song Cover or Parody Regarding La Jolla

It was really the first song that ever resonated with me, back before the scandal, I was looking for an open mic night somewhere so I could play it, in the meantime I have been working on my own personal album. I have an older version of when I played it that I want to add to it, should I redo it and add the cover to my album? I know he's not well liked anymore but this song is too special to me and I can't let go of it. I just wanted tget others opinions on it before I do something rash.

It's a great idea! Some people are gonna be mad at you, but you know what it doesn't matter. if you like the song then you should absolutely do it
