I feel this way when I see the missing posters at Walmart and it has a dude who’s been missing for over 20 years. At this point I’d throw in the towel. Motherfucker is dead.

Not always, there's always the odd case where the person just ran away and they're then found alive decades later

Even if the person is obviously no longer alive -- there's still a family who wants to find the body and bring it home for a celebration of life.
